Chapter 23: Pang Feng Takes Action!

Jin Zhidong was nearly knocked unconscious by a slap from the bald man, but Pang Feng paid no attention to him, instead heading straight for the stretcher beside the middle-aged patient.

His feelings were incredibly complex. Seeing the patient lying on the stretcher, he couldn't help but think of Grandpa Sun. He had been adopted by Grandpa Sun when he was very young, and Grandpa Sun made a living as a barefoot rural doctor and by collecting herbs in the mountains to support him.

Pang Feng often accompanied Grandpa Sun into the mountains, and then, right before his grade nine second-semester midterms, he was suddenly called into the office by his teacher who told him that Grandpa Sun had fallen and was injured.

By the time he arrived at the hospital, just like the patient before him, Grandpa Sun was lying in the emergency room of the county hospital with no hope of survival.
