"Granny," Rosalie's voice broke through her thoughts. "Are you all right?"
Cassandra turned to see Rosalie standing in the doorway, concern etched on her face.
"I am just remembering," Cassandra replied softly. "So much has changed, and yet, I must remain strong."
"We are with you," Rosalie said, stepping forward and taking Cassandra's hand.
Cassandra looked at her, tears grew in her eyes. She let out a sad chuckle and said, "He's my blood and you know everything seems like nightmare. I wish someone come and tell me it's not true. What I encountered that day, everything is just nightmare. Otherwise, how could this be possible!"
Cassandra broke into tears which twisted Rosalie's heart as well. "Sush, sush, Granny. Please don't lose hope. If you cry who will provide us with courage and hope."
"My Alexandra, I don't know what this child is doing now." Cassandra lamented.
