Lukas's POV
I look at Lilibeth. I know her bruises and wounds were still aching, yet the smile in her eyes was telling me that she appreciated my gift for her. She raises her head and looks at me.
"Thank you, Lukas. All of you seem to be prepared pretty well," she says.
She looks around and checks the tables of the rest of us. I brush my nape and simply laugh.
"It's tiring, but when we saw the smile on your faces, we're happy that we did well," I respond.
She leans her chin on her hands, holding each other while her elbow is being pinned to the table.
"I'm so proud of you. Thank you so much, honey," Lilibeth murmurs sweetly. I grab the wine and hide my flustered face. She shakes her palm after.
"Give me your hand," she says.
I put down the glass and gave it to her. She looks at the ring that my grandmother designed but forges by my sister-in-law.
