I groan because my wound still aches, even if the medicine has already been applied to it. "How's everything?" I ask Samuel.
He bows his head. "Those who were caught alive, they're already tied and imprisoned. The Escalante army's soldiers will guard them. The villagers were already back in their houses, and some of their men helped your youngest brother's men in burying the enemies in this village cemetery," he reported.
It's already morning. I feel like the battle last night just happened a few minutes ago. I sighed.
"I'm glad those two sent their elite officers to secretly guard us. The knights that we bought are just enough to protect the villagers. It will be a death battle for the two of us if we fight them together. They're skilled assassins."
