Eliza's POV
I look at Elyse and Tala. We're still transferring the sacks of soil in these huge vases. "Tala, Elyse, what do you think about this family?" I ask.
They look at me with such a sharp glance. "In what way, Kassandra?" Tala inquired.
"Can you guys call me Eliza? We weren't sure if I was really Kassandra Escalante. What if I'm not?" I whispered.
Elyse looks at Tala. "Princess Astrid had placed her life on the line to keep you safe from her possessive big brother. Fate was still in your favor because the princess had visited the borderlands when the crown prince raised another war."
If I remember it right, Tala was the sister of the second prince's confidant. She was a trained soldier, but because she was a woman, her talent was taken aside.
It only happens that her big brother keeps her safe, and she becomes an underling of the second prince as well.
