Chapter 290: A shocking truth
Lilibeth's POV
I was making some cakes and other pastries for the snack time later at three when one of the servants came in the kitchen.
"Your grace, someone came and she's looking for you. She looks nervous and..." she paused.
"Where is she?" I ask. I followed her.
"She's in the living room because she begs me to let her in. She said that your dad might have sent men to look for her. It took her three hours to hide somewhere because she's afraid that your dad sent someone here," she added.
I stopped walking and frowned. I know her. She's our nanny. The assigned nanny for me and Libeth.
She turned around and saw me. She runs and trips herself. I looked down and saw her feet bleeding.
She's not wearing shoes or any footwear. She looks different. I run and crouch down to hold her to get up.
"Nanny May, what are you doing here?" I ask. The door opens, and she hides in my back right away.
