I stand aside as Mr Kaze introduces me to the rest of the employees. I made sure to smile as he spoke to at least pretend to look like I am not completely lost.

"Miss Houston. Would you like to say anything to your co-workers?"

I bow. "I hope we can all get along and come up with good ideas together." 

They clap and smile at me friendly. 

"Hikaru. Please come here." 

"Yes sir." A beautiful woman with a cute appearance gets up. She had short hair styled in a cute bob. Her face was framed beautifully making her look more attractive.

Hikaru smiles widely at me. "Welcome to Sakurada pharmaceutical company."

"Thank you." I said with a smile.

"Hikaru show her everything she needs to know, please take good care of her for the next two months."

"Okay, Mr kaze."

"I'll leave you two then." 

I feel excited as Hikaru leads me to my desk. She makes sure to tell me the office rules firsts and then introduces me to the rest of the team.

"So we are a team of Seven, the manager, Mr kaze has his own office and the rest of us share this space." 

I look around admiring how neat everything looked. Everyone took goor care of their space and I would do the same.

"Over there we have Mr Toaka, Miss miki, Miss Luna and our youngest Maki." 

I politely bow to everyone as I tried my best to memorize their names and not get it wrong.

"Mrs luna, Maki and I speak fluent English so if you need help communicating with the others tell us."

"Okay." 

Hikaru leans closer to me. "Don't be nervous. Our team is very chilled."

"Thank goodness. I was very nervous."

"Just relax. You'll get used to everyone very quickly." 

Her words put me at ease. I wanted to do a good job and not make anyone question why I was hired. I had to show my about and strengths.

"I have been wanting to ask, Why Tokyo?" 

Hikaru and I went out for lunch with Maki. Miss Luna was not at work today because she was unwell so I would meet her later on.

"I remember studying English really hard in high school so I could be prepared to leave for the states." Maki says with a laugh abit emberassed.

"I was in Korea a few years back and I thought coming here would be nice." I lie effortlessly. 

Hikaru hums in response before asking, "So you like traveling to new places?" 

"Yes. It's really exciting." 

"I can imagine." 

Maki smiles happily. "One day I will travel around too." 

I smile back. "You can do anything you put your mind to." 

"Thank you." 

I turn my attention back to Hikaru. She looked distracted. Her eyes were glued to the street outside for some reason. Maki also notices this.

"Hikaru-san, are you okay?"

"Isn't that Luna?" 

Maki tries to follow her gaze. After searching the crowd with his eyes for a few minutes he gasps.

"Ehhh?" He takes a closer look. "It is her." 

"What do you think she is doing?" 

"I thought she was sick." 

I curiously turn so I could look too. I wasn't sure who they were looking at specifically.

"Maybe she's coming from the hospital. Should we go say Hi?" Maki asks.

Hikaru is about to get up. "No. She is with someone." 

I spot my husband in the crowd with a woman. I didn't understand who he could be with. Maybe that is his assistant.

"Isn't that the young boss?" Maki asked. I knew right then and there he was talking about Nicholas. The woman by his side must be this Miss Luna.

Hikaru gasps. "So the rumour might be true." 

"What rumor?"

"That the two are still dating." 

"Still Dating?" 

"I know for a fact they used to date. I thought they broke up." 

I felt sick. What the actual hell is this? It's not like I can confront Nicholas right now. 

"They look good together." Maki innocently says not realizing tjau the effect his words had on me.

I grip my glass tightly. 

"So she took the day off to spend some time with him."

The woman by his side had long brown hair. She was slightly tanned and had an amazing figure. 

"We should probably let them be."

"You're right Hikaru. They probably want to talk privately." 

Nick and Luna disappear in the crowd of people outside leaving me with question marks.

"Shall we head back inside?"

"Yeah. Let's go."

The rest of my first day at work ends in a blink of an eye. I tried to keep myself as busy as possible so my mind wouldn't wonder off to useless thoughts that won't benefit me in any way.

I also wanted to remain calm and friendly around my co-workers so they wouldn't think I'm some moody pregnant lady, although I haven't disclosed this information to them.

"Good job everyone." Mr kaze tells us at the end of the day. 

Hikaru excitedly turns to me, "At the end of the week we will host your welcome party. Just tell me what you like to eat and I'll arrange everything."

"I will eat anything you guys like. I'm not picky at all." 

"Are you sure?"

"Yes."

Maki walks over to us from his desk. "Miss Sammy, do you take the train?" 

"Please call me Sammy. You don't need to add the 'miss'," I laugh to show I'm not angry or upset. "I have a friend picking me up."

"Lucky you. We take the train every single day and it's so crowded." 

"I will probably be joining you guys soon." 

They look at each other confused but don't say anything. I pack up my things and say goodbye to Hikaru and Maki.

I decided to call Nick in the parking lot since no one was around.

"Hey my love."

"My work is over."

"Oh. I will be right there to get you."

"I'm in the parking lot already."

"Okay. I'll meet you there."

I hang up irritated with him. He went to meet up with his ex girlfriend probably thinking I would never find out.

Nick arrives in a matter of a few minutes out of breah. He must've rushed over here.

He doesn't bother catching his breath and runs to my side. 

"Are you okay?" Nick gives me a once over making sure that nothing was physically wrong with me. He places his hand on my forehead.

"Do you feel sick?"

I move away from his touch. 

"I want to go sleep." 

"Did you over do it?" 

I shake my head no, "I just feel tired that's all."

Nick takes a closer look at me. He fakes a smile.

"Let's go then."

I get into the car. Thousands of thoughts ran through my mind. Was she the woman he talked about at the hotel when we were in Vegas? 

He said he loved someone but broke up with her because he always hurt her.

"Did you eat lunch today?" 

"Yes. My assistant ordered me some."

"So you stayed for lunch?" I ask although I knew the truth.

He looks at me. "Why are you asking?"

"I went out for lunch." 

"Oh. I stayed in my office." 

Why are you doing this? Who is that women to you?
