Chapter forty eight

Praise and David were at the party, and now at the hotel room but just as friends. They didn't do anything that the others were doing...

" David, you nor dey drink? " Praise asked. The table was filled with alcoholic drinks, and Praise had drank only one.

" alcohol makes people do crazy things. Guys do crazy things when they're drunk, mostly when they are around girls " David replied. Praise smiled...

" you're a gentleman " Praise said still smiling.

" thank you " David accepted her complement. After some few minutes of silence...

" do you want to watch Zee world with me? " Praise asked as she turned on the TV.

" don't you guys watch Nigerian movies? " David asked as he turned to the TV.

" do you want to watch it? " Praise asked.

" no, I'm just asking because you and Amanda are always watching Zee world. Anytime I pass you guys, you're always watching it " David replied.

" okay. I watch Nigerian movies o. Sometimes Amanda and I will not even watch Zee world, but that is if the Nigerian movie is interesting " Amanda replied.

" okay " David nodded. Praise tuned the channel to Zee world. But they put it on time, now they're showing when Alia hit Disha with her car.

" Jesus " Praise yelled as put both hands on her head. David turned to her then laughed silently.

" Praise and Amanda are alike. No wonder they are best friends " David said to himself.

" Good, Prachi see am. Oya make she go tell police " Praise yelled. " she do am, she do am ooo, this na the first time I happy for Zee world " Praise yelled happily. David didn't even watch the movie, because watching Praise were more satisfying. And after the police had called Prachi as the eye witness...

" ehhh this yeye police don't put Prachi for trouble " Praise became shock on how that episode ended. David just burst into laughter.

While Adebisi was in her dorm with her used to be best friend. The room was quiet that if a needle were to hit the ground, they would hear it. The other person had gone to her boyfriend's place. It's Valentine's Day, everyone is spending time with their partners. While some guys without a girlfriends, are with either prostitute or other girls that are willing to give them. While some other guys without girlfriends, just stay at home, and do anything that is doable.

Adebisi is feeling guilty about what had happened between the two of them. Now she wants to apologize, but she don't know how, so she just went straight to the point. She stood up, and walked to Gift's bed.

" I'm sorry " she apologized.

" for what? " Gift asked. She didn't even turned to Adebisi.

" I thought you became my friend becausey family is rich..."

" what about Goodness? she's also our roommate. She's our friend, but doesn't spend enough time with us, do you think she also wants your money?, we hardly ask you for money, and you're were saying we wanted you money, what is wrong with you? " Gift yelled. " if I were to tell her what you had said about us, she will be upset. Even if we reconcile, i won't take your money " she added.

" who I dey fool, if she beg me to take her money, I go collect am. But I no still make friend with her because of her money " Gift thought to herself.

" so are you gonna forgive me? " Adebisi asked with a sad voice.

" not yet " Gift said then hissed.

While in Praise and David's room, they were already sleeping. All of a sudden...

* knock knock * they heard a knock on their door, which wakes them up. David opened the door, and saw Amanda crying.

" Amanda what's wrong? " he rushed to Amanda. He put his hands on her shoulder. Praise quickly got up, and ran to Amanda.

" Amanda " Praise called. They took Amanda to the bed to sit down.

" Amanda tell us what's wrong please? " Praise begged as she was starting to get worried. Amanda was still crying hard.

" yes Amanda, what's wrong? " David begged.

" I... I... " Amanda didn't know how to say what had happened to her.

" Amanda " Praise yelled.
