Chapter 17: Fall of Kirat Kingdom!

Gritting his teeth, Anton charged with another slash. The next moment, he suddenly stopped in shock as he found the ground beneath him shaking.

It didn't take long for him to find the source of the shaking, and he saw a large number of people charging toward him from all directions with red eyes.

Anton could feel the hooded figure smirking, increasing the already bundled-up rage in him. He could see the outcome, so he decided to give in to his rage and charged at the figure.

His sword slashed at the hooded figure. In response to it, Gray grinned and raised his hands.

The next moment, the sword stopped in the air as if it had hit a wall, but Anton could see nothing.

Anton tried to break through the invisible wall, pushing as much Prana as he could to his sword. The red glow around the sword intensified.

The grin on Gray's face froze as he heard a sound of a crack. He looked at Anton in surprise since it was the first time a Great Knight had damaged the [Magic Barrier] activated by him.

Gray then licked his lips in anticipation of what surprise Anton's blood would bring him.

Gray was a fire element user, so the next moment, he raised his hands, and fireballs started erupting from them like a Gatling gun.

Anton wanted to move back to dodge, but there was a wall of people blocking him from moving even an inch backward. As soon as he attempted to move, they jumped on him.

There were more than ten fireballs charging at him. Anton thought of using the fireballs to his advantage, so he dodged as many as he could.

The next moment, the dodged fireballs crashed into the wall of people behind Anton. It took no time to burn them, with their skeletons melting. Anton's eyes were cold as he saw the scene.

He was fighting to save the Kingdom, but not any longer. He only fought for revenge.

Anton wasn't fortunate enough not to get hit by the fireballs, but the injury he received was less than what he had received at the beginning of the battle. It seemed that using so many fireballs consecutively meant less damage per fireball.

Still, four fireballs hit him in different places, causing some damage.

Anton gritted his teeth, bearing through the pain, and roared.

The next moment, a surge of Prana occurred around him as he gave up on surviving the battle. There was a stinging sensation on his right shoulder. Anton believed that he had been poisoned and that it was slowly affecting him.

Since things were like this, Anton decided to sacrifice himself and give him a chance to harm the hooded figure.

Gray noticed what Anton was trying to do. A grin spread across his face, and he spoke, "Let me show you the difference between you and me!"

The next moment, he took the hood off, showing his young face to Anton and shocking him.

Anton still didn't stop, and when he had reached his peak destructive power, he slashed. The next moment, a red wave of energy forced its way toward Gray, tearing everything in its path apart.

Anton crashed to the ground, and several of his bones got broken under the pressure of so high absorption of Prana. His eyes held a slight hope as he looked up at his sacrificial attack meeting the figure.

His pupils dilated rapidly the next second, and then they turned dim, the light vanishing from them. Whatever movement his body was making, stopped. He couldn't be more dead.

Gray looked the same as ever, with a grin spreading across his face. He then stepped forward, taking a new vial and injection from his pockets.

After taking a vial full of blood, Gray looked at the people standing there with insanity written all over their faces. When they looked at Gray, fanatical expressions replaced the insanity.

"Behold, my friends, the day has come

When we shall become the ruler of this world

"No longer shall the weaklings thrive

No longer shall the innocent survive

We shall unleash the bottled-up fury and wrath

And conquer all in our path

"The skies will turn a fiery red

And oceans will foam with the blood we shed

The very earth will tremble and quake

As we will unleash the power, we generate

"For we are the servants of chaos and pain, the bringer of darkness, the lord of disdain

And all who dare to stand in 'His' way will feel the wrath of our power in the coming days."

Gray covered his face and repeated the proclamation he had been making after winning over every Kingdom.

'His' in Gray's proclamation wasn't some figurative figure, but Gray had returned to Knight Continent on the man's order. It was just that the man had forbidden Gray from revealing his name, so he used the title.

After making the ominous proclamation, Gray looked at the fanatical crowd and Anton's corpse.

"It is 'His' gift to you for your devotion," Gray called out.

It was as if the crowd was waiting to hear something like that, right after Gray spoke, they rushed and began to tear apart Anton.

Anton was a Great Knight, so it wasn't easy for them to tear and eat. Many in the crowd exploded due to not being able to handle the remaining Prana in Anton's muscles and bones.

Those who survived found their strength skyrocketing.

"For 'His' grace, 'He' only asks for one thing, kill all those who don't believe in 'Him'," Gray announced.

The next moment, a massacre occurred in the capital city, as irrespective of age or gender, everyone who wasn't infected with the powder released by Gray was killed and eaten. With it, the Kirat Kingdom completely fell, becoming a part of history.

Gray had a calm smile as he surveyed the city after the massacre. His army had gotten further stronger.

As Gray arrived at the royal palace, his gaze turned to the north, where his next target awaited his arrival. However, he was suddenly overwhelmed with coughing, and blood spilled from his lips.
