Chapter 15: Waking Up!
After an unknown amount of time, Ryan's eyelids finally moved. Sensing the movement, Loraine stood up and rushed toward her son.
Henry stayed at the back, looking at Ryan with a calm face, but there was a hint of tension attached to it.
Victor, on the other hand, was already near Ryan, feeling his Prana movement since he knocked him unconscious.
Ryan slowly opened his eyes; Victor and Henry had their fists clenched while their eyes were red from not blinking for hours.
"How long have I been unconscious?" Ryan asked after finding Loraine, Henry, and Victor in the room.
The last thing he remembered was that he had released his lifeseed, and then everything was blurry after that.
When Henry saw Ryan's clear eyes, he breathed a sigh of relief and slumped down on the chair prepared by the guards for him. Victor had the same reaction but controlled himself and grabbed Ryan's hand, checking the Prana movement inside his body.
Victor was unable to sense the virus or distinguish the energy, so he only focused on whether there was a blockage since getting berserk resulted in tearing some muscles, blocking the energy path, or rerouting it.
When he found that everything was perfectly normal, Victor breathed a sigh of relief and let go of Ryan's hands. Victor then smiled at Ryan and left the room, leaving Ryan and his parents only in the room.
After Victor left, Loraine gently stroked Ryan's head and answered, "You have been unconscious for a day."
Ryan nodded, not surprised since every part of her body was in pain at that moment. He tried to sit up, but the ointments daubed across his body had made his body numb.
Loraine noticed her son's actions, so she helped him arrange the pillow and sit straight.
She then gestured to the guard standing outside the door to close the gate.
Thud!
With a loud sound, the guard closed the gate from the outside, leaving Ryan, Henry, and Loraine free to talk without fear of their words getting out.
Henry had a helpless face since he knew what was coming, and from how Loraine looked at that moment, he understood it was not possible anymore to hide things from her.

Several hours ago, in the Kirat Kingdom,
The Kirat Kingdom was the neighboring Kingdom of the Joran Kingdom. The capital city was in chaos at that moment.
Puchi!
A guard had an evil smile spread across his face as he pierced his spear through one of the citizens, who were trying to escape the capital city.
The guard's eyes were red as if he had gone insane. After killing the citizen, the guard pulled his spear out and focused on the next citizen.
It was a young boy at the age of seven, and he looked frozen from fear.
"I like young boys like you the most," The guard rambled and charged toward the boy.
The boy couldn't move due to his fear, and the corpse of his parents was also there. He had a blank face as he looked at the guard coming toward him.
Suddenly, the man's smile froze. He looked down and saw a hole in his chest and a hand coming out of it.
The man tried to look back to see who it was, but before that, the world around him turned dark, and his head swooped down.
The boy remained frozen while the man's red blood splashed on his face.
"Let's go!" A majestic voice rang as an armored man stepped forward, and without waiting for the boy's response, he picked the boy up and hurried away from the scene.
The man who killed the guard was still there. There was a hint of disgust in his eyes when he saw his hands getting sullied by the guard's blood.
Suddenly, the man frowned and looked to his left. His eyes expanded violently as the man coming toward him was his friend, and the way he was charging toward him, it was clear that the friend had also gone berserk.
"Just what sins did we commit to get attacked by such barbarians?" The man mumbled as yesterday, the capital city was as vibrant as ever, with the citizens living in peace.
The man felt a wave of uncontrollable rage pass through his body when he remembered the hooded figure who came to the royal palace today and caused everything.
But soon, the man's face turned calm since there was a battle waiting for him.
What differentiated Great Knight from High Knight was the aura. When a High Knight would explode their lifeseed, a wave of Prana would rush through their body.
The Prana energy would try to destroy the body and rush out, and once it did, the breakthrough would fail, and the High Knight would die. To succeed and achieve the breakthrough, the High Knight would need to control that Prana energy and cover every inch of his body.
A Great Knight didn't need the berserk mode as their body was at peak every time due to the cover of Prana around them. What they had was the Aura state.
During the Aura state, their body would be covered by an invisible barrier of Prana that would act as a defensive barrier, while their body would become a funnel, absorbing Prana from the environment, increasing their strength, agility, and durability. It didn't consume endurance like the berserk mode of High Knight. The duration of the state depended on how much energy Knight's body could store.
The man was a Great Knight, while his friend was also a Great Knight. Neither of the two had ordinary status. One was the King of the Kirat Kingdom, while the other was the chief guard.
Anton activated the Aura state and charged toward Vilho with his sword ready to take his head. Anton felt no hesitation since the life of his Kingdom was at stake here.
Vilno, who had lost his sanity, also charged toward Anton, while his Aura state was already activated.
