Chapter 12: Gray Turing!

Chapter 12: Gray Turing!

"Uncle," The boy nodded toward the Emperor and then sat on the empty chair, ignoring the chaos spread around the room due to the Emperor's actions moments earlier.

The boy's tone contained no respect at all for the Emperor's position, but none in the room dared to make a fuss about it. Even the Emperor himself only frowned for a moment and then started smiling, nodding in response toward his nephew.

"What brings you here, dear nephew?" The Emperor asked with a smiling face as if the boy was higher in status than him.

If the outside world knew this, they would be shocked, as the Emperor was a Sky Knight, but none in the room felt that the Emperor was acting weirdly. The boy had a special identity.

"I have completely conquered the Joran Kingdom," The boy informed, shocking the people in the room.

The next moment, respectful smiles spread across everyone's faces as they bowed toward the boy.

The Emperor's expression turned ugly for a moment when he saw his advisor's reaction, but soon a smile appeared on his face, and he commented, "As expected of you, my dear nephew."

The boy only sneered in response to his uncle's compliment. He then stood up from his chair and left the room while leaving a comment.

"I will be going to the Tringal Kingdom after seven days."

"Your majesty, Master Gray, has become too powerful to be controlled." After the boy left, the smiles on the advisor's faces disappeared. Instead, frowns replaced them. One of the advisors whispered in a low voice so as not to be heard by the boy.

The Emperor, Chris the Fourth, had similar thoughts going through his head. If he were to replace Gray, it would take him longer to complete what Gray did in only three days.

From Gray's confidence, it could be clearly inferred that the Kingdom was under his complete control.

'Damn those wizards; shouldn't they have come when I was young?' Chris the Fourth couldn't help but complain in his head.

For the ordinary citizen of the continent, Knights were the top powers. But Chris the Fourth knew that Knights were nothing in front of those mysterious wizards that came from the Great Sea.

No one knew where those wizards lived, but they would appear randomly in time and would leave with some children they would find talented enough to become wizards.

His nephew Gray, was a talentless Turing when it came to Knight Arts, but one day suddenly, a hooded man appeared in Farway City and left with Gray.

It all happened when Chris the Fourth had only become Emperor ten years ago. Gray returned a week ago, but he looked the same as he did when he was taken by that mysterious hooded figure.

At the same time, Gray had become extremely strong since he could defeat the Knights even before they could come close to him. Chris the Fourth was confident of defeating Gray in one-on-one combat, but even the best case for him was to be seriously injured.

Clang! Clang! Clang!

The sound of metallic clashes continuously rang out as Ryan trained with a High Knight guard.

The Golden Lion Knight method gave Ryan superiority over the guard, so he easily won against the man despite being several years younger and having less combat experience.

But Ryan had a serious issue when it came to combat, his defenses were open as he fought wildly like an animal.

Victor had noticed this a long time ago, so he decided to be the trainer for Ryan in the palace.

Not long after Ryan defeated the guard, Victor jumped into the arena with a different broadsword. The one Victor used was too strong for Ryan to fight back against.

"You can't keep fighting like this, or you will die early," Victor commented.

"This time, you will only defend," Victor added and then immediately slashed.

Victor wasn't using his actual strength, as that would mean Ryan losing without even having a fair chance of fighting back. Victor only used the strength of a High Knight.

As the sword came slashing at Ryan, he immediately brought his sword on to block the strike. But despite it being a broadsword, Victor's moves were so flexible that he easily moved his sword and struck Ryan.

Ugh!

Ryan groaned in pain as the sword struck his head. Even though it was flatly struck, the impact wasn't slow, so a bump appeared in Ryan's head.

"Once again!"

Victor commanded, and then without waiting for Ryan to stabilize, he slashed again.

Ryan immediately backed away, trying to think of ways to defend, but Victor was quicker of the two, and the sword struck his head again. This time, a new bump appeared on his head.

Ryan gritted his teeth and decided to use an attack to defend when Victor slashed for the third time, but it was the worst mistake he could make at that time.

Victor grabbed the sword with his bare hands and struck Ryan's head three times, causing three new bumps to appear.

"You will only defend," Victor declared.

This time, Victor didn't immediately attack but snatched Ryan's sword away. He then looked at the guard that had lost earlier and gestured at him.

The guard understood what Victor wanted, so he immediately bowed and left the arena.

The guard came not long after with a thin wooden shield and one wooden sword.

"Here, you will use this and learn to defend with it, then we will move to the sword," Victor commanded, throwing the wooden shield at Ryan.

Ryan grabbed the shield, ready to learn to defend, unaware of the physical torture he was about to go through for the next few months.

Victor threw the wooden sword to the guard and told him to attack.

As it was his first day using only a shield, when the day ended, there were several swellings spread across Ryan's body. When Loraine saw it, she immediately went to Henry and complained to her, only to be faced with disappointment as it was Henry's idea to make Victor Ryan's trainer.
