Chapter 28

*****Jaxon's POV*****

I sat at the desk, surrounded by piles of paperwork and a phone ringing off the hook. I had been holed up in this office for hours now, trying to manage various aspects of the organization while keeping an eye on the safety of my new wife Faye.

I felt guilty after last night... guilty for wanting to fuck the shit out of her.

It took practically everything in me to hold myself back. So instead, I fell asleep like a pussy with her wrapped up in my arms. Despite how good it felt, I denied the feeling of losing my power - especially to a female that I didn't even marry for love.

I left her early this morning as she still slept, deciding that I had better things to do in terms of tracking down the men who bravely thought they could sabotage us with that petty crash yesterday.

Bastards.
