"Tell me what happened. How could you stay in the infirmary for more than 24 hours?" Aiden asked as he calmly sat beside the lying Elliot, covered with thick, heavy woven bandages where Draven broke his bone.
Elliot was infuriated thinking of the time he was beaten up by Draven. In addition, he was enraged when he explained what happened to the guidance and the doctor who visited him. He was clearly speaking the truth, but the actual scene differed from what he said.
In the end, he could only resign in frustration. He was even more furious when the doctor declared he was suffering a great deal of trauma, causing him to have hallucinations. However, if he kept throwing tantrums, it would be more obvious that the doctor's claim made sense, so he could only accept the doctor's judgment while crying in silence.
"I swear that what made me like this was because of Draven! That idiot was actually a wolf in sheep's clothing! Who would think he managed to conquer me as though he never placed any effort when we shook hands in the first place!"
Elliot was elated when someone finally came to listen to his frustrations. He knew Aiden would listen to him since this man should know how to trust his subordinates well. Although, he never considered himself a subordinate but rather a follower whose sole purpose was to use Aiden's reputation for himself.
"Elaborate further. Explain how Draven was in the question when I only asked what made your body dislocate. Wasn't it reported it was because of a tree that landed on both of you?"
Aiden was clearly confused about how this event connected to Draven. However, it did not mean that Draven was out of the suspicious person who was behind this since it was impossible for a tree to get separated from its root. It could only be made by a man who tried to hide his evidence behind.
"Indeed! I don't know how could a damn tree suddenly land on me when I fainted, but I'm pretty sure it must be because of Draven's works. After all, he could not let himself be a suspect in violence, right? In addition, it is not only light violence because my wrist and my back are broken!"
Elliot developed a fear whenever he remembered the shaking hand he did together with Draven. He even wondered if this would cause him to have PTSD whenever he shook hands with someone, even if it was his father.
"It makes sense."
Aiden nodded his head as though he was clearly convinced. Elliot heaved a sigh in relief, 'Finally, someone listened to me.' He thought while he fell asleep after exhausting himself from the non-stop defense. He did not know if he even got enough sleep when the time the doctor and other instructors asked him questions about what had happened.
Time After Time again, they did not listen. He could not blame them though, since Draven's stats on the school could not be identical to what he describes Draven. It was as though he tried to expose a nerd, thin, lacked energy young man who was actually a murderer at the night on the street.
"Hmm. I should let him take a rest, the. I will investigate this matter. For now, let's deal with the rumor. Isabella should be still in the library, as she tried to get more knowledge even though it was already on the level of the professor. However, how could this Draven still surpass her? He is incredible, indeed. That's why…"
Aiden's sharp eyebrows contacted, while his eyes with a golden hue iris, flashed with a threatening look.
"That's why this incident is noteworthy to have my attention. If Draven awakened his soul power, and even have his vitality enhanced. I don't know what I will do."
Aiden shook his head as he tried to imagine Draven had the power to surpass him. The combat class was graded mainly with two points, the vitality test, and the battle test. As its name explained, it would test the student's overall physical ability.
Meanwhile, theory class was also divided into two main points, the knowledge of math and science, which was the written class, and the practical theory class regarding the dungeons strategy and understanding. If Draven stood out in the theory class and the combat class, this would naturally have the attention of the Federation Awakener's academy.
Aiden had been wanting to get into that academy, but due to the country level. Even though the Zeka high school was a cream of the top school in the country, it was still not enough to gain the attention of the top 1 academy, which had higher standards, even making the A-Grade country compete for the limited seats.
It was noted there was ten A-Grade country, so each country would have to fight for half a hundred seats of becoming the students of the number 1 academy. Now that Aiden was in the C-Grade country, where there were more than fifteen other C-Grade countries and had to fight for the limited five seats.
He still felt pressured since it was known others preferred to hide their powers unless they had no choice, similar to the College entrance exam test. He was still confident though since he was also an awakened who had already had three phases. In addition, it was not revealed yet, since he had recently awakened a month ago.
"Anyway. I should study him so that I will not be careless once I will face him in the battle test. Who knows, they might have a duel test to test everyone's battle prowess?"
While Aiden pondered his future. The door at the infirmary opened, and two girls entered the room while whispering to each other.
"It's so unfortunate I did not witness the battle but did the man really so handsome?"
"Really! I will not be surprised if you have an orgasm once you see his fierce, gorgeous face!"
The other girl blushed at what her friend said as she hit her lightly while defending herself.
"If my boyfriend hears what you said, he will really be angry at you!"
"Why are you thinking of him? No matter what I see about him. There's no aspect at him of being good aside from being a goody two shoes. Do you really think being kind is enough to live a normal life? What will happen if he gets scammed by others who take advantage of his kindness, causing you to get bankrupt once you will become his wife? For god sake, just break with him already!"
"What a good friend," muttered Aided.
He shook his head before deciding to ignore them. However, surprisingly the girls continued to gossip and stopped beside the other room. The infirmary currently was divided through curtains, and the curtains, of course, were not silent proof, so Aiden grew annoyed at their non-stop babbling.
However, before he could completely stand, his knee bent halted while his interest was caught by the girl's mentioned name.
"What was his name?"
"He said, Draven. He even declared to be number 1 ranking both in theory and battle class. Did you remember someone having that name? Who knows, maybe a low-key one who recently revealed himself after he awakened his Path. He became handsome because of the side effects."
"You are right, but he is too handsome. In addition, he should have not undergone plastic surgery, since his skin was smooth and milky white, and the shape of his face is natural. As though, he was born to have that face!"
"Indeed, not only that. He is even stronger to beat Isabella in a single clash! How incredible is he? He is simply too perfect to be a mortal!"
"Right! Right!"
"What did you say?"
An enraged voice halted their moments. A frowning expression was evident on their face, but it was not before they could recognize the man who interrupted them. Aiden immediately jumped out of his seat and did not hesitate to ask them without minding the other's privacy. Thankfully, the patient was asleep, while the girls continued to gossip to not grow bored when they guarded their friend (patient).
"Aiden!"
A shocked expression awoke everyone from their stupor. Aiden realized how unsightly he became as he tidied his uniform while standing in an upright position. His aura changed as though the startled and hurried aura never existed in the first place. His face became stern as he asked the girls with a chilling tone.
"Why did you say Isabella got beaten up by Draven? Tell me what happened."
