As a maid, Liu'er often ran about and easily kept up with Bai Yue's long strides. The same couldn't be said for Bai Li A whose face turned redder than the blush she applied before leaving her house earlier this day.
A gust of cold wind struck their faces and whistled about their ears the moment they walked out of the door. Bai Yue crossed her arms and slid her hands under her armpits in an attempt to stay warm.
"So cold," she muttered and scrunched up her nose in distaste.
"Cousin, do you want my coat?" Seeing that Bai Yue had finally stopped, Bai Li An quickened her steps and joined her. She gave Bai Yue the sweetest smile she could conjure but made no movements to remove the thick coat protecting her from the weather. Although its quality could not in any way rivaled Bai Yue's clothes, it offered better protection against the elements.
