[T/N: 2 x Chapter]
On the cliffs of the Caucasus Mountains.
A Titan dressed in slightly ragged clothes is bound to a rock and looking as if he is waiting for something or someone.
So, upon hearing the screech of the eagle flying in the distance, he couldn't help looking up at the blue sky.
Usually, every day, he would have been waiting for the eagle to arrive here and punish him, for stealing and giving flames to humans even after being ordered not to, by pecking and eating his liver.
Actually, this Titan is known for being a champion of mankind and the author of human art and civilization.
He is also known to be one of the most intelligent Gods, Titans, in Greece.
And his name is Prometheus.
But today, being the God of foresight, instead of waiting for today's punishment, he has been waiting for a young man, who is arriving here by following the eagle who punishes him every day.
So, when Jason arrived while riding on Pegasus, who has been flying so fast that it seemed like he had turned into a meteor, instantly, the eyes of Jason and Prometheus looked at each other.
And, upon personally observing Jason dressed in white, even Prometheus, who had already learned many things about Jason due to being the God of Foresight, showed surprise in his eyes.
Because Prometheus obviously noticed the traces of divine power left by multiple gods on Jason's body, and naturally, Prometheus isn't surprised due to Gods leaving their divine power on Jason, rather he is surprised by the sheer number of Gods having done so.
After all, Prometheus is quite familiar with the fact Gods don't like sharing.
But, just as Prometheus was feeling slightly shocked and was observing Jason with interest, an eagle's screech caused Prometheus to turn his head to look at the eagle.
And the moment when the eyes of a Titan and an eagle looked at each other.
Through the eyes of the eagle, Prometheus saw what Jason had done to and for Lamia, so, within moments, he obviously guessed the meaning of the one representing the eagle.
"As you have already witnessed, great God-King Zeus."
Prometheus smiled and said to the eagle: "This young man had decided this on his own and followed through it... He really does have the ability to save that innocent woman."
"However, although contradictory, due to kindness he decided to end her life in hope of relieving the curse on her and giving her relief, and for the same, he is willing to bear the pain of killing that woman and endure the anger from the Queen of Gods Hera."
"Because, it is indeed true... sometimes, the most important aspect of saving a person is not saving that person's life, but to give spiritual salvation."
Actually, although Prometheus has spoken truthfully to God-King Zeus, he had obviously hidden some misleading aspects of it, because there is no way Prometheus wouldn't have already guessed why Zeus is asking this.
"So, Great god-king Zeus, I believe, this kind child had redeemed that woman and pulled her out of the abyss where she was constantly falling."
'Although he did kill her, simultaneously, he also redeemed her?'
After the one behind the eagle heard this, he couldn't help falling into a short silence to think about it.
Still, the one behind the eagle didn't doubt Prometheus's words, because, as Jason had expected, he had been indeed watching Lamia smiling rather happily while her life was ending.
Jason had been silently listening to the conversation between Prometheus and eagle, although it could barely be called a conversation.
So, at this moment, finally, Jason had somewhat guessed the reason behind the eagle bringing him here.
'It seems like, the aloof God-King Zeus wasn't able to guess or understand why I had decided... to kill Lamia...'
And Jason had indeed guessed correctly, because, from Zeus's point of view, Jason had been continuously trying to help Lamia, but he still killed her with his own hands, and for that same, unlike the previous few times, Jason didn't even consult Zeus.
So, although Zeus had already decided that he won't say or hint at anything, he still somewhat didn't like that Jason finally didn't ask him for permission and he also didn't understand why Jason finally decided to kill Lamia.
Therefore, Zeus brought Jason with him to the God of Foresight, Prometheus, who is believed to have wisdom that is not inferior to Athens.
So, after the doubts in his heart were answered, the eagle let out a loud screech, then he flapped his wings and flew to the blue sky.
And very soon, the eagle left the vision of Jason and Prometheus.
"He's gone... It's just the two of us now child, you can relax."
Prometheus's soft voice slightly soothed Jason's inner tension because he has been obviously worrying for a while about Zeus's take on him dealing with Lamia's matters.
So, immediately after Jason came back to his senses due to hearing Prometheus's voice, he hurriedly drove Pegasus to the vicinity of Prometheus and landed on the ground.
Then, after a brief tidying up, Jason solemnly saluted Prometheus.
After all, Jason does respect Prometheus from the bottom of his heart.
Because Jason had obviously learned that at least in this world, Prometheus is indeed the one who had fundamentally created the humans by using himself as the base, who were later blessed by various gods to form the current living humans, and even regards every human all over the land as his own children.
So Jason is naturally aware of the fact that for the same reason Prometheus was even willing to take the risks of deceiving Zeus and stealing fire for humans, his children.
Therefore, Jason also knows that, finally, for the very same reason, Prometheus has been bound here and is punished repeatedly every day by getting his liver eaten by the eagle.
But, while Jason is solemnly saluting Prometheus, Prometheus is also looking at Jason with an incomparably soft gaze.
Because, except for Prometheus treating every human as his own child, just a while ago, Zeus had shown him how Jason had dealt with Lamia's matter, and Prometheus had also somewhat guessed why many Gods are paying attention to Jason.
And, after saluting, Jason found out that although Prometheus has obviously been suffering brutal torture every day while being continuously exposed to the wind, rain, and sun, his eyes are devoid of even the slightest haze, and not even a hint of resentment or hatred can be seen in them.
"If I'm not mistaken, child, you should be Jason... right?"
After all, although Zeus had shown Jason's deeds to Prometheus, he had not mentioned Jason's name, so after a short silence, Prometheus softly confirmed Jason's name, and after getting a nod from Jason, he said with a smile: "A few days ago, the wise goddess Athena had arrived here."
"And she had told me that soon a blond boy named Jason wearing a white robe will come to me and ask me about offering tributes to the gods."
"Therefore...sorry, child."
Prometheus said apologetically to Jason: "I have already promised her that I won't answer this question."
"Because the wise Goddess Athena is very fond of you and while pledging on Styx, she has assured me that she will use all of her wisdom to open up that future for you."
"Therefore, I cannot use my wisdom to help you with this."
"...No, great god Prometheus."
Jason, after being silent only for a moment, shook his head at Prometheus and replied: "You have already helped me with your wisdom, so I naturally will not act greedy and insatiable to insist on asking you for more help."
After all, Jason had obviously detected that Prometheus had cleverly only stated what Jason had done along with his own point of view, and not what Jason had thought while doing that.
So, although Jason doesn't know how much Prometheus has guessed his thoughts, he still believes that he should thank Prometheus for it.
"Child, that was not me helping you." Prometheus said with a smile: "I was just stating what you have really done... But child, I'm a feeling a little curious now, so can you tell me the answer to this?"
"Originally, I was assuming that you are Athena's believer, after all, she is willing to pledge to Styx for giving you that future..."
After saying this, Prometheus blinked at Jason and asked curiously: "But, on you, I can see a rich aura of divine power belonging to Apollo, the God of Light, and Artemis, the Goddess of Moon."
"And even in your soul, I can see the traces of Divine Power used by Hades, the king of Underworld."
"And if I'm not mistaken, this Pegasus is the warhorse of the King of Sea Poseidon..."
After speaking this, Prometheus, who is also known to be the Prophetic God, asked while clearly showing that he himself is not believing it: "Could it be, you are a believer of all of them?"
'It's impossible...'
Even while asking Prometheus couldn't help but think like this.
After all, Prometheus believes that although most of the time Gods don't care much about the loyalty of believers and a person can worship and believe in multiple gods, it is only true for ordinary and shallow believers.
And Prometheus feels that he is pretty sure that the same just isn't applicable for those favored by Gods.
Because, as someone very familiar with Gods, Prometheus believes that the word 'share' is not the part of character design of Greek Gods.
After all, Prometheus thinks that if a human blessed and favored by a certain god suddenly starts believing in another God, then it will definitely turn into the situation of the previous God getting offended due to feeling that the human is despising him by thinking the previous was not good or strong enough...
"Great God Prometheus, I am actually a believer of Hecate, the Goddess of Paths... By the way, God Prometheus, I will not ask about giving tribute to the gods, but can I ask you something else?"
After saying this, as if remembering something, Jason said in an embarrassed tone: "Goddess Athena will probably not appear in front of me before I offer her a tribute."
"And I guess, even if she shows up and hears my request, I'm afraid she'll just snicker, no matter how I ask..."
After saying this, Jason became quiet.
So, seeing this, Prometheus asked curiously: "What's the matter?"
"Well... God Prometheus, do you know how to make Teacher Hecate drop her anger and again be happy?"
Jason continued embarrassedly: "I seem to have recently made her feel angry at me... The reason should be that I didn't tell her beforehand about becoming a student of Goddess Hephaestus."
After Jason finished speaking, Prometheus was stunned and couldn't help but observe Jason with a slightly strange look.
'Teacher Hecate... student of Goddess Hephaestus...'
With these two phrases, Prometheus easily guessed what had happened.
'And...you are actually Hecate's believer?'
Prometheus naturally knows about Hecate, after all, Hecate does have a very special and unique divinity.
But just now, even after Prometheus had sensed Hecate's divine power in Jason, he really didn't expect that the goddess, who hadn't bothered joining the battle against Titans before she was requested to do so and probably would not have cared even in the current ruling Gods got killed, would actually accept such an... active student.
So upon realizing this, Prometheus obviously became more interested in Jason and began observing him while subconsciously tracing Hecate's divine power in Jason.
Actually, Prometheus, the God of Foresight, who is also known as the Prophetic God, is also a god capable of spying on fate.
And to be more precise, Prometheus is actually not any less capable compared to the three Goddesses of Fate and Hecate in matters related to fate.
After all, Prometheus had even prophesied about the fate of the God-King Zeus, and that too more than once.
So, at this moment, although he has been originally observing Jason and Hecate's divine power in Jason only because of interest and curiosity, he soon noticed the unusuality.
"Child..."
Prometheus said softly: "Can you come closer?"
Jason looked at Prometheus in doubt, but after hesitating for a few moments, he finally decided to walk over.
After all, for Prometheus, even if this is the first time Jason had met him, Jason's respect and admiration towards Prometheus is a little higher compared to vigilance in Jason's heart.
Because Jason thinks: 'He is a God who had created humans and is willing to be punished for helping humans without yielding once even after many thousands of years!'
So, after Jason walked closer and Prometheus carefully observed Jason, suddenly, Prometheus widened his eyes significantly.
Because Prometheus saw it.
Prometheus saw the path that was hidden by Hecate.
After all, since Hecate had predicted this path once using her divine power, she can only hide it and not make it disappear.
Do you know, in Greek Mythology, Hera had been once tricked into nursing the infant Heracles, but upon discovering who he was, she pulled him from her br*ast, and a spurt of her milk formed the smear across the sky that can be seen to this day, which is Milky Way.
Believe me, it really isn't any less cringy for me to write this, still, this is a fact in Greek Mythology.
