She had smugness etched in her eyes.
Heloise sat there, looking at them calmly, and said lightly, "Lady and Gentleman, I think you've really got the wrong person, I'm not some Heloise you're talking about."
"Are you mad at me? Are you angry that I wrenched Darnell away from you? "Coral pressed herself against Darnell in a tender gesture, "Then I'll return Darnell back to you."
Upon hearing this, Darnell couldn't help but frown at Coral and gently reprimanded, "What are you babbling about, am I an object? Would you give me back or not to Heloise?"
Besides, Heloise hadn't formally responded to his courtship then.
"But I know you liked Heloise and probably now you still do ... Didn't you realize you just saw her eyes so straight?"
Coral looked at him, her voice choking up as she spoke, her eyes glistening with tears, pathetic.
Her words made Darnell feel guilty, and he was busy softly consoling, "Don't you think it nonsense, now you are my girlfriend."
Heloise looked quite disgusted at their affectionate appearance, so she picked up her bag and took out the ID card from it, her slender fingers blocking the information on it, only revealing her own photo and name.
"Both of you are really mistaken. I'm not Heloise, I'm Spicy Thank God."
She was serious.
Coral's body immediately leaned forward and moved closer to see it, and the whole thing seemed messed up, she was confused so much.
"Spicy ... Thank God?"
Darnell was thunderstruck.
Was this a person's name?
"Right, so I'm not the one you're looking for." Heloise said lightly.
"..."
Coral stared at her dumbfounded. Was it really a case of mistaken identity?
When had Heloise ever been so calm and unhurried in front of her? She was always cowardly and humble?
But how could there be two people in the world who looked so much alike?
With that thought, Coral reached out to grab her ID, and Heloise immediately retracted her hand, saying warily, "What are you doing?"
Darnell also thought that Coral's action was too flailing, completely lacking the usual grace, and couldn't help but frown.
"I-I just kind of can't believe there are two people in the world who look so much alike."
Coral explained in a panic.
Darnell was on the same page with Coral. He looked at Heloise carefully, seeing the strangeness in her eyes, couldn't help but ask, "Are you really not Heloise? Do you have a twin sister or anything like that?"
"Both of you are so strange, sorry, I have urgent things to do, so I'll leave now."
Heloise said coldly, standing up triumphantly and heading out the door.
"No, no leaving!"
Coral agitatedly stood up to grab her.
Heloise took a step back and looked at her very strangely, "Young lady, if you act inappropriately, I'm going to call the police."
"Coral, what's wrong with you?"
Darnell noticed that Coral was agitated in a strange way.
"I ... "Coral paused, her eyes rolled fast. She forced out a smile to look at Heloise, "Ms. Spicy, you really look like a friend of ours. She has disappeared for three years, and we miss her very much. We're so lucky to see you today. Why don't we sit down and have a good conversation?"
She must control this woman, no matter whether she is Heloise or not. She decided to find out the truth by means of taking her back first to torture her.
Heloise stood there and indifferently said, "But I don't know you both, so what shall we talk about?"
She behaved very much like a stranger.
"Sit down please."
Coral said as he beckoned the waiter and reordered three cups of coffee, sitting in the chair and looking at Heloise, "Where is Ms. Spicy from?"
"From the south."
Heloise replied calmly.
