A few moments later…
The two palace guards came with my order. They looked tired after looking for what I wanted.
"Miss, our apologies. We were only able to get this amount."
I saw many arrows in the bamboo basket. There were probably about thirty arrows.
"The others were used and became decorations on the palace walls. We dare not take it," he said again.
"No problem. Let's set up the target board."
I asked for their help to set up the target board. Tonight I will spend time practicing archery in the neighborhood around my room.
"It's over, Miss. It's safe."
The two guards made sure that my training ground was conducive. I started shooting, trying to focus my eyes on the target board.
One, two, three children sped up. Enter the third circle of the target board. I continued to practice until it hit the middle. After that, I asked the guard to further keep the target board out of my sight.
