"You-!"
Hearing his words, the woman pursed her lips hatefully as she was at a loss of words before a sneer graced her lips once more, "Hmph! What does that have to do with this? So, you lived. It doesn't matter. I'll just kill you with the next move!"
The boy sighed in dismay before sitting down on a rock and responding with a sigh, "Really? Then, hurry up. My knee really hurts and I'm too tired after escorting the guests back out. I'll just sit here, so please do give me a good performance. Hopefully one better than those on the streets. It can be considered a prequel to the VDC if you are good enough."
"Hmph! I'll show you a performance!" The woman mocked as she was elated to have come across such a cocky boy. She then pulled out a large black umbrella with a spike top and sent that umbrella his way. The handle quickly became a spike and rushed down at him as electricity hummed through the weapon.
The boy's eyes widen in surprise as he gasped. Seeing his shocked reaction, a sneer appeared on her face as muttered under her breath, "Hurry up and die already!"
The boy reached out and easily dodged the strike with a spin before touching the other end with a swipe of his fingers. With that, the weapon quickly did a 180 and the electricity running through it was disabled as the handle landed in his hands while he sat back down. His quick and smooth movement shocked her as she stood there with her mouth opened in disbelief.
"Ooh! Is this a magic weapon?!" The boy examined it hurriedly in bewilderment.
"Hey, give that back, you thief!" The woman cried out as she could feel the heat of humiliation crawling on her back.
"What's the hurry?" The boy raised a brow and looked at the weapon curiously, "You were the one who handed the weapon to me in the first place. How can you go back on your words so quickly?! Meanie! Don't you know that this is called Indian trade? If you're giving something away, don't just ask for it back! Even they have so much manner and sense as to not do that anymore in the current era's evolution of mannerism. To think that you would be so unreasonable! Hmph!"
"I said give that back!" She shouted and shot a wave of spiritual energy at him.
The guy pouted in dismay and scowled, "Hush."
With that, the spiritual energy was dispersed before it could reach him. The woman stared at him in horror seeing that none of her attacks were working on him.
After examining the weapon, the boy scowled in disdain as he huffed in a strange tongue, "A black lightning umbrella? Seriously? It's merely level two! And so ugly! Hmph! I don't want it!"
With that, he tossed the weapon back at the stunned woman who barely caught it in her hands. However, she was still unable to process the information in her head in time before he continued, "With such an ugly weapon, what's there to show off? It can't even serve as a shelter under the rain for a peacock! Well, at least, it would suit much better for someone barely passable to be compared to a white lotus."
"You-!" The woman managed to speak again in her own native tongue and pointed at him with a scowl, "You're him!"
He sneered as he responded, "Now, you're even pointing at me? Big Sister... What great manners you have. To think that an orphan would have even better manners than you... I've never felt so proud before in my life! I should really thank you for this! Although I can't turn a fake white lotus into a real one sadly..."
"Shut up! You-!" The woman cursed at him as the thought of that crushed flower dawned on her before she realized something in horror!
Her spiritual energy! It's gone!
The boy snickered after hearing this and responded, "You've only just noticed your energy slowly diminishing? It's so hard to believe that you're even supposed to be an alchemist."
There was a sudden spiritual force weighing down upon her as she was crushed under the weight, "Aah!"
The breath was knocked out from her as she could feel that probably a few ribs were broken inside her body. Under the pressure, she only managed to look up only for her eyes to widen in horror. The boy had already appeared before her to her disbelief as she muttered in shock, "Y-You're an alchemist and an array master?!"
In their world, only array masters have the chance to achieve the skills that helps them teleport from one place to another without the need for an array with ease! Poison from the skills of an alchemist, teleporting as the trait of an array master. She knew that she should've killed him sooner!
"Hm?" What does that have to do with big sister?" The boy wondered curiously before he responded, "Shouldn't you have guessed this just by seeing the mirrors? Hah... If I had known that big sister wanted to kill me so quickly, I would've already ran for it. It's too bad that I'm so oblivious. But, at least, I'm still better than big sister."
"You narcissist son of a-!" She cursed under her breath before coughing up blood.
"Oh, you should stop struggling, big sister." The boy said hurriedly in concern, "It would be bad if I had to go back home with an injured beast. Besides, it's not all that bad to lose to a child. At least, you won't lose to an infant."
"You-!" The woman cursed under her breath before an idea hit her as she sneered, "Just you wait! You'll regret killing me!"
"Kill?" The boy raised a brow, "Why do I have to kill you, big sister? Weren't we playing?"
"Just you wait and see what will happen to those seniors of yours!" The woman continued having cared less and less over her own safety by the point and only wanted revenge, "You'll surely regret harming me!"
The boy sighed in dismay and responded, "Well, of course, Dorm Leader Vil will be a pain to deal with later, but, as the culprit, you should be honored that I need to put your first in my to-do list."
"What?"
"Besides..." The boy shrugged, "Don't you know that I've already left them with the best protectors available in this world? Did you really think that Big Brother Yuu and Grim are just there for show?"
The boy shook his head in dismay, "It's unfortunate that I had thought you'd be a great fake white lotus, but who knew that you are a blind one as well. Did you really have to look down upon Big Brother and Grim so much? You mistook a pair of pearls for fish eyes! What a waste..."
"Shut up! Shut up! Shut up!"
"Ah... So loud..." he grumbled and struck at her acupuncture point with only his fingers shutting her up immediately, "Finally... Peace and quiet... Now, let's see. I'll have to enter Vil's consciousness with the help of Little Jun later and I also have to immobilize Vil after the overblot. Hah... This will be a close one, but it's still the only way. Crystal..."
Suddenly, a large butterfly appeared on his shoulder as the woman could only watch in disbelief. The only way to contract a beast was to tame it first! Doesn't that mean that he's also a beastmaster?!
"How's the situation with Vil right now?"
"He's preparing a poisonous concoction of apple juice right now." The crystal butterfly responded.
"You mean, those apple juice that Epel's parents had sent over to our dorm a few weeks ago?"
"That's correct."
"I see." He nodded and sighed, "As much as I hate him, his scheme really isn't all that bad. He wants to poison Niege with that apple juice... However, the dwarves don't have heads just for decoration. They're much smarter than he takes them credit for. Vil is just too reckless by this point. If the mirror is correct and Vil has the soul of the past Beautiful Queen, then it'll just be a repeat in history once again. Rook was born with the spirit of the Queen's hunter. If he's bold and smart, he won't let them be. Crystal, let your butterflies be the guide and bring him right over to Vil."
"Understood. I've just relayed the order. But, master, will young sir Rook be wise enough to follow the butterfly?"
"Rook isn't like the others." He responded firmly, "He has a talent to understanding poetry like no others. If someone is capable of understanding even the most difficult poetry, then they have the ability to read into others' words and their surroundings. Not to mention, he's a student of Night Raven College and has the strongest sense of instinct to even be put up against Jack who can just barely match his. A hunter needs to rely on their guts and their brains altogther. If Rook is such a person, then we'll just have to be his bloodhound just this once. After all, he has a prince and a queen to save."
"So, master have finally peaced it all together?!" Little Jun cried out in joy from his ring.
Lotus nodded, "At first, I had thought the dorm leaders and vice-dorm leaders with those close to them were reincarnations of the great seven. However, that was far from it. They are just souls that have inherited the spirit and fate of the former great seven."
I'm looking for a person who is willing to help me read and edit this fanfic for grammatical and spelling errors. They need to be able to correct and critique my chapters.
They do not need to be an experienced editor and there is no pay. Having no experience in editing is fine and I'll just give some reminders on what to do. As there is no pay, I only want the person to take part only because they want to. Each chapter is between 1.5K to 1.8K words long on average with 2k being the most on occasions. There are over 200 chapters, but I do not expect the person to read through all of them or more than two or three a day as we all have our daily lives outside of online. So, if the person has any school exams to study for or important events/tasks, please do not let this request bind them from taking on those tasks and only notify me is just fine. I only need someone who can edit and critique my chapters as well as some suggestions if needed. As this is a fanfic, there will be no earnings coming from this offer. Therefore, the person only needs to do this of their own free will and they may leave whenever they wish. Fanfics are also not able to be contracted by Webnovel for risks of running into copyrights issue, so do not expect there to be a contract to this work. For further questions and information, please contact me on discord through DM (direct messaging) Faura_Phoe#4979.
Thank you and have a great rest of your day!
