Get to Know Each Other

After the matches we all decided to properly enjoy the party alongside our parents, there was plenty of food and drinks to be had for this party of mine even fresh meats to eat and especially the best of all fresh fish!

"Ankha! Stop trying to eat all the fish! Save some for the others!" Akila said as she had to hold her little sister back from gorging herself on fish, a favorite food of us sphinxes in particular.

"But it's sooo gooood…." She said while complaining about her sisters unfair treatment of her, trying to keep the good stuff out of reach.

"Well I want to eat some too you know?" I said joining them after the game had ended in a tie, but that was only because it was best to do that to keep rivalry's from forming which with my knowledge from my original age in my old life, knew that in this life rivalry's could cause issues later in life that I had no desire to live with.

And though I am much older mentally I have taken it upon myself to enjoy my childhood as I know being a child is something one could only live once and I'm lucky to have another shot at it so I allowed myself to act mostly like a kid, though I clearly came off to others as slightly more mature for my age.

So as I was eating food and enjoying myself I went around to get to know everyone from my age group and make friendly relationships with everyone here.

Though I noticed that Liona and Bahati teamed up against Grishna and Bularia in an eating contest which I found funny, though I did see both Amari and Habiba looking uncomfortable as they looked at the large cooked bison ribs and fully cooked pig that the mainly meat eating tribes were feasting upon while they were eating veggies with Amari having some meat as warthogs can eat anything, though I noticed that their parents didn't see off put by it at all, not even subtly either.

"You two shouldn't let it get to you too much, even if we are extremely distantly related to our animal counterparts, we could be nothing further from them as our own races, it's something my parents drilled into my head constantly after all." And it is true as while Beastmen and Animals seem similar we are only extremely distantly related to our animal brethren just like how humans and chimps were distantly related to each other in my old world and this world as well.

"Yeah but…. It makes me feel uneasy to see it…" Habiba said while Amari nodded in agreement with what she said.

"Well I can't say anything that would keep you from feeling that way, all I can say for reassurance is that would never happen to you or your family unlike the animal counterparts, after all it all falls within the big circle that we call life." I say to them which seems to leave them in thought to think about what I said before I went to see the others.

As I was going around making friendly conversations with people, I couldn't help but over hear a conversation between my mother Bastet and the mothers of Girshna, Bularia and Kitan's, all together they were the four leaders of the Saharan Tribal Confederation.

"Troubling signs are coming from the south, The Lizardmen are getting restless, it's showing signs they might march northwards towards our lands." I heard Bularia's mother mention while the rest were deep in thought about it.

The Lizardmen, a Tribe composing what I would call Beastmen Dinosaurs that prefer to reside within jungle environments such as the areas of Central Africa in the regions of the Congo in particular are a more primal and what I would call feral tribe of Beastmen that give Beastmen a rather bad look from the other major races within Africa, though I would learn later in life they came to make agreements with the Americas to make peace with their continents that they lived upon, same couldn't be said for the Lizardmen of Africa however.

They were a rather Barbaric Tribe that strickly followed that Might Makes Right and lived more on stealing, raiding and raping those they came across compared to actually trying to make land for themselves due to most of them being strictly meat eaters and were unable to raise enough livestock to keep up with their large appetites.

"Not only that those Rats are scurrying around the dunes trying to steal our resources, that and the Feral Tribes are at each others throats, constantly battling for dominance over the other tribes, if things get bad they may head northwards into our lands to reach Europe.

The Skaven, they are rat Beastmen who just like the Lizardmen have an insatiable hunger that drives them to raid for food, along with taking any women from any race to be used as breeding sows, as for the Feral Tribes they are similar to us but never wanted to join a confederation such as ours where we work together to never go hungry due to lack of foods as they are driven by their more baser instincts.

The Lizardmen, Skaven, and Ferals pose a threat to us and the Modern world as a whole, though we stand at the forefront to defend the modern society from them personally as we have the ways to combat them unlike modern military's who can't track them through the Underways and World Roots like we can.

And due to this they go for a more peaceful approach with our confederation rather than a confrontational one that they would have a hard time with winning in the first place and thus unless a major change in the governments happens that leads to them wanting to target our people, which could happen in a volatile continent that is Africa, for the time being we are peace with the many country's in the north so long as we keep up our defense against the Lizardmen, Skaven and Feral Tribes.

Soon though my mom and them went somewhere else to take the conversation somewhere more private as I continued to enjoy myself while talking to the others and getting along with them well.

"Is your leg feeling better Nubia?" I asked as I went to see if she was alright while she sat on her chair while drinking some juice.

"It doesn't hurt that much now, give it a day or two and everything should be fine, say are you planning to go to Alubarna when you turn seven?" She decided to ask me.

Alubarna, it's the only real city that all the tribes worked together to create over four generations ago to signify the unity of the Saharan Tribes with one another, it's also the city that the children of the Tribal Leaders and leading figures within the tribes go to learn about our culture along with modern knowledge as well as we would at one point to another go see the modern city's ourselves when we are older, it's not forbidden to go to the modern world but unless we were leaving our tribes behind we couldn't permanently live within those cities and only at most stay within hotels or if permitted by our parents to live with certain accepted people of the tribes to live within the cities for extended times.

"Of course I will, after all I have so much to learn and see of this world, so let's do it together Nubia." I say with a smile as I hold out my pinky towards her.

Seeing this she smiles back and takes my pinky into hers as well.
