That was a shock for Ember; she couldn't even imagine that this would happen to her. She was so shocked that she froze in her chair. When she heard a voice from behind her, she knew it was Emir's. He patted her shoulder and said, "So, you are sitting here. Let's go home; I am done with my work here."
She quickly collected herself, hiding the magazine in her bag without letting Emir notice. "Hmm, let's go," she replied and stood up from her seat. On the way to the parking lot, Emir asked, "What are you doing in the library for so long?"
"Actually, my exams are coming up, so I thought it would be a good use of time," she said, lowering her head to the floor. She didn't want to face him and reveal the emotions she was feeling in her heart.
When they got into the car, Emir had a feeling that something might be bothering her, so he asked, "Did something happen when I wasn't present? Tell me."
"Nothing happened," Ember said without facing him. "Your face looks so dull," he said, placing his hand on her cheek and caressing it.
"I'm alright; it's just that I've been feeling stressed about my exams," she replied, trying to reassure him while gently patting his hand on her face.
As they drove back to the house, Ember realized her seat belt was stuck. She attempted to pull it, and Emir noticed. He leaned closer and said, "Let me help you with the seat belt."
"It's okay, I can do it," Ember said, but Emir removed the seat belt. They were so close. Ember tried to avoid him, opened the car door herself, and stepped out. Emir followed her, and she said, "I'm feeling a little dizzy, so I'm going back to my room."
As she took a step forward, he held her and lifted her in a bridal style. Frustrated, she exclaimed, "What are you doing?"
