As Charissa attempted to meet Dunice she caught sight of Alex coming early right in and she swallowed nervously.
"Good morning," Charissa greeted, trying to mask her nerves. Dunice's gaze narrowed, recognizing Charissa after a moment.
"Oh, it's you," Dunice said coolly, the tension between them noticeable. Charissa forced a smile, hoping their meeting wouldn't escalate into confrontation.
Dunice glared at Charrisa, her eyes blazing with anger. "What is she doing here?" she thought.
"Hey Rissa,"Alex greeted Charrisa calmly, but Dunice ignored her.
"What are you doing here?" she asked Charrisa coldly.
Charrisa smiled and held out a bouquet of white roses. "I wanted to see you, Dunice. I brought you these."
"I'm busy, so I can't see you. And keep your roses to yourself," Dunice snapped, her voice icy as she stormed towards the elevator.
