3. Time Fracture

At 5:30 in the afternoon, Randy walked through the hustle and bustle of the city. He walked following the directions that Dalor had made.

"Since it's Friday, the Time Fracture will last for 7 hours, right?" Randy asked Dalor by pretending to be talking on the phone so he will not be seen as suspicious.

"Yeah, have you mentally prepared yourself? Don't worry about food, you can steal in the shop if you're hungry during a Time Fracture. They won't notice if it's gone." Dalor gave ridiculous advice.

"Hey, you want me to commit a crime, you stupid demon?!" Randy raises his voice.

"You don't have to be a good person at Time Fracture. You can't cook at that time, all the world's utensils will stop functioning. The only thing that remains normal is food." Dalor said the sensible thing.

GROWL!

Randy's stomach growled.

"Damn it, talking about food makes my stomach hungry again. I'll just go to the stall to get something to eat first." Randy held his hungry stomach towards the stall in front of him.

While on the way to the stall, Randy remembered something.

"Oh yeah, you said the Justiciars and Valkyries are girls, right? So there aren't any adult women among them."

"Yeah, they're all around 15-30 years old."

"Huh?"

Dalor's explanation took Randy by surprise.

"Thirty years is already old, you know?" Randy whispered into the phone.

"That's just your thought, for me 30 is still young. Even at the age of 30, women look more elegant than before." Dalor expressed his opinion

"Just forget if we ever talk about that..."

Randy entered the stall that he chose. There, he ate for preparation at the Time Fracture.

Now it was 5:50 pm, soon that time will appear.

"I am lucky to choose this stall."

"Why?"

"The regular in this stall are the men who just got home from their work. There are no girls who want to come to this place in the afternoon, morever, the vendor is already old so there's no need to be afraid if she is J or V."

Randy created a new term.

"J or V?" Dalor was momentarily confused about what he meant.

"J stands for Justiciar and V stands for Valkyrie, I made it this way because it's hard to call them," Randy said the reason.

"Huh, so you're a big-time slacker. You don't even want to call them right."

"My mouth can call them right, you know!"

"Back to the topic, Randy! When the Time Fracture just begin. Use your mimicry skill! We don't know if J or V is around you." Dalor was worried about the young man.

"Okay, I get it!" He showed off his smile that looked optimistic.

CRACK!

Time Fracture has arrived. People around him were wrapped in thorns and stunned like statues. The haze of the world turned red.

"MIMIKRI!"

Instantly Randy's body looked like the people around him.

He tried to look out of the stall window. Not long after, he meet his first encounter.

A girl is seen running while looking around. "It's that Ira?!" Randy accidentally screamed and caught the girl's attention

"You imbecile, you're just begin and already make a mistake!" Dalor immediately scolded the boy. "Don'r worry, calm yourself! Now you have two options, stay here and pretend to be a statue or attack her necklace and put my energy into it!" Dalor gave advice to the frightened Randy.

"I won't be able to stay still if I panic, so I will choose the second option!" Randy readied his sword and sharpened his eyes.

Randy's current position was advantageous, he could easily make a surprise attack from inside the stall.

TAK TAK TAK!

Ira, who was dressed in a green and white dress, like magic fairies in a fantasy world, came in to the stall. She readied her spear just in case. Randy was getting more and more advantages in this situation. This stall was too narrow for a spear.

Ira was at the door of the stall and looked around inside the shop. "Strange, I hear someone was calling me from here..." Ira walk inside.

Crack.

The sound of breaking plate could be heard from behind the stall's kitchen.

"Who is there?!" Ira ran to the source of the sound.

But right after that, Randy emerged from under the table and swung his sword at the girl's necklace.

"HYAGHH!"

CTANG!

Randy's sword and Ira's spear meet against each other.

"Boys?! How could?!" Ira was surprised after seeing a boy in Time Fracture.

Ira's surprise made her not realize that she was careless.

Randy kicked Ira's spear until it was thrown backward.

"My weapon!" Ira turned to her weapon which was thrown backward.

Wasting no time, Randy immediately once again tried to swing his sword at the girl's necklace.

Crack!

The sword managed to hit Ira's necklace and transferred Randy's mana to the girl.

Ira, who still didn't realize that she had lost, took her spear and try to stabbed it at Randy.

But Randy realize that he had won. He just looked at Ira calmly while catching his breath.

"Sit down!" Randy gave the order.

Immediately, Ira, who had tried to stab Randy, sat down without any objections.

"Huh? What happened?! Why, I just?!" Ira stood back up in confusion while see if there was anything strange about her body.

Like what happened to Dalor, Ira also still has her consciousness but she can't move anything as she want.

"Randy, she's a V. Vs often move in groups, I'm sure they'll come looking for her soon," Dalor warned the young man.

"In that case." Randy pointed his sword at the girl's neck. "Ira... come with me!" Randy took Ira away from that place.

"Yes, sir!... Wa-wait... why my body moving itself?!" Ira followed Randy to the place where the monsters would come out during Time Fracture.

Her ally will be come, so Randy must leave this place.

But still, he has his real goal.

"Dalor, where will the monster come out?!" Randy spoke in his heart.

"On the Bata's road, near the monument that makes the road go round!" Dalor gave vague instructions.

"A roundabout? Ah, you mean that roundabout road?"

"I don't know, I don't understand the weird routes that humans are making at this point."

Randy and Ira continued to run to the intended place.

While he was near there, something is happened.

DWARR!!!

NGUWAHHHHH!

The sound of monsters mixed with sounds of magic that fire by them is gathered in that place.

"It must be Celicia and the others. She must be currently fighting Justiciar and the monster at the same time." Ira explained even though Randy didn't need it.

"I have to hurry over there!" Ira tries to run away.

"Stay here!" But Randy ordered her again.

"Yes, master... Damn, don't force me like that! What's your goal for doing me like this?!" Ira was annoyed at being treated like a doll.

"It's better to walk slowly. We'll find out later" Randy lectured Ira.

"Ha, you're the only one who got into trouble, not me!"

"I will make you suddenly attack your friend! With that, will they still believe on you?!" Randy smiled more evil than the devil itself.

'Why am I become the villain?' Randy just realized it.

"You coward!" Ira glared at the young man.

"Let's go!" Randy moved and ordered Ira without noticing her

They were now under the terraces of the building.

3 Valkyries vs 2 Justiciars, and the battle took place there. If look at their clothes, the Vs seem to have more revealing clothes than J, while J has armor all over their bodies except for their heads.

"It's hard to see their faces from here." Randy narrowed his eyes up to see the faces of the J and V.

GAWGRAA!

The snake monster that should have been their target was ignored and moved towards Randy.

"Randy, the monster is coming to you!" Dalor gave a warning.

"Let me handle it!" Ira tries to move forward.

'So, how to catch this monster?' Randy asks Dalor while Ira is busy fighting with it.

Ira's battle area was limited at below the terrace. her friends would not see her from that high.

"I hate doing this for other than Miss Celica, but there is nothing I can do! Firebolt!" Ira grumbling while fight.

The snake went blind. But it only happened briefly and returned to normal just in second.

The snake retaliated and cast its magic.

"ZARK FIRE BREATZH!" The snake emitted black flames from its mouth.

Ira ran to the side to dodge the snake.

"As expected, fighting monsters by self is a foolish idea. At least, I can give him some time... Ice Bind!" Ira wrapped the snake with a thick chain of ice.

"Now what are you going to do, coward?" Ira smiled wryly at Randy.

Even though she said she didn't want to help him, she still did her best.

Back to Randy who was talking to Dalor.

'You see that glowing thing on the snake's head? Use a piercing weapon such as a spear or arrow.' Dalor gives directions.

'Affirmative!'

Randy readied his bow.

"Dalor, aim assist!" Randy smirked.

"You piece of sit, you only look cool just for a moment!"

Dalor take control of the boy's hand.

JDARR!

An arrow was shot at the twisted snake.

Ctak!

The arrow hit the circle on its head. Instantly, the snake shrunk and entered Randy's body.

"What happened?" Said Randy who was confused.

'You absorb that monster, you can also summon that monster to fight on your side. But remember it's only 5 minutes.'

"Just for a while?!"

'Don't talk too much! That snake alone is enough to destroy the entire J or V that was fighting over there!'

Ira, who had been fighting with the snake, came to Randy.

"What do you want with that monsters?" Her sharp eyes glanced at the young man's eyes.

'You better not tell her yet! She would probably leak this information to her ally. Make sure she's by your side before you tell her your true intentions.' Dalor warns Randy.

"I don't know, what do you think?" Randy shrugged and smiled condescendingly.

"Tch!" Ira could only cluck her mouth in annoyance.

"You're not part of my plans yet. Why should I tell you?!"

"Yet? You mean?"

"You think the necklace isn't getting darker over time? When it's completely black I'll let you know." Randy's evil smile appeared on his face.

Meanwhile, in the battle between J and V.

"Celicia, where did that snake go?!" The pink-haired girl warned Celicia.

"Huh?! It's gone?!"

Immediately the two of them stopped fighting and stared at the snake which had suddenly disappeared.
