Manager Kay

Hearing her abrupt exclamation, the three interviewers were quite shocked, to be honest. And this was especially true when it came to the mature man who was the target of the shout.

So, in astonishment, he wondered to himself, 'I don't know her… Who is she? And why would she do that right at the beginning of her interview…?'

For some reason, he felt she was indeed familiar, but that was just a feeling, as he could not recall ever encountering anyone like her, so with that in mind, he started talking, "Excuse me? I don't think I know you… so why would you-" However, before he could finish, he was interrupted by the other person's loud voice again, "You're that person in the alley!"

It was at this point when abruptly as if something extremely heavy had just dropped on his head, fragments of broken memories he would rather never recall appeared in his mind as he knew immediately who the other person was!

He remembered a truck continuously hitting his car, obviously with the intention of murdering him, but then, after it left, he had crawled to that empty alley, and afterward, things started to get rather hazy and vague.

'It's her! She's the person who… saved me?', "Ahh…" At this point, he grabbed his forehead as an intense headache hit him abruptly, 'What happened last night? I remember someone ran toward me and tried calling the ambulance or something… she… even knew my name for some reason!'

'But then… then… what happened then? I vaguely remember a very bloody scene… I was doing something… but what? What happened last night? How was I saved?'

When he woke up on his bed completely fine this morning, he was quite surprised to see his own bloody and ripped clothes, but seeing no injuries whatsoever anywhere on his body quite dumbfounded him, to be honest.

However, he realized he also had a hard time recalling the happenings of the previous night. Nevertheless, knowing he was getting late for work, putting the matter at the back of his mind, taking a quick shower, he rushed over to work.

At this point, seeing his confused expression, Mina began her elaboration, "You're that person in the alley who was-"

Seeing her about to explain everything, his face went a bit pale as he looked at the two other people who were sitting beside him, 'No… I need to stop her… I can't let them know what happened last night!' As this notion went through his head, he jumped into the middle of Mina's clarification speech, "Stop! I remember! We'll talk after interview… for now, let's finish your interview."

"Ahh…" Mina was quite astonished seeing him stop her speech, nevertheless, understanding this wasn't the time, she answered, "Yes."

Then, no longer saying anything else, she sat down on the chair and began introducing herself, "Hello, I'm Mina Love and I'm…"

"Manager Kay… do you know this young lady?" The middle-aged man beside him asked respectfully. He called him manager because he was the 'branch manager' of this branch of Constantine Corporation. And he used his first name 'Kay' to address him because, in the past, Kay himself had stated that others can address him as 'Manager Kay.'
