Doctors summoned several healthcare workers who awkwardly lifted Li Teng onto the operating table in the next room.
They then used metal buckles to lock his wrists, ankles, and neck in place.
Li Teng felt that something was seriously wrong.
The therapeutic effects of bread, biscuits, and drinks were limited, and for Li Teng who was suffering from severe bacterial infection and organ failure, they were hardly effective. Facing many burly healthcare workers, the extremely weak Li Teng had no strength to resist.
He could only protest verbally as they locked him down on the operating table.
The doctor wheeled over a medical cart stacked with various rusty surgical tools.
"Shouldn't I be going into a medical pod?" Li Teng asked the doctor.
