What The Heck?!

As soon as she entered, the entire aura of Victor changed. No one could tell what he was thinking about. Even though his expressions remained the same, there was a hint of coldness flashing in his eyes. Whoever met his eyes shivered from head to toe.

Even Julia, who looked at the expression on his face, stopped in her tracks. All of a sudden, she wanted to bolt out of this place and return to that photo studio to snap the remaining photos. She felt like if she didn't hand over the remaining pics tonight itself, she would be in big trouble.

Julia hesitated for a while before taking a deep breath. No! She couldn't back out now that she had taken a step forward. When she looked at Victor again, she had a look of determination in her eyes.

How could she run so easily without fighting? Now that she was already here, what could go wrong? What would be worse was letting the man speak nonsense about her for revenge!

She grimaced as she thought of that post she made. To be honest, she shouldn't have done that. Even her agent had called her to scold her after that post went viral.

What could she do now?

She took a deep breath and walked toward Victor with confidence in her eyes.

The man smiled as his eyes squinted. He grabbed her hand when she came close enough and held it so tight that her eyes widened. She wanted to take her hand back, but she couldn't. She wanted to yell at him because that grip hurt her hand like hell, but she couldn't. Not in front of so many people.

She forced a smile on her lips as she spoke: "Hello."

Only then did he loosen his grip on her hand. He pushed her forward and said, "She's Julia. The girl who makes me incompetent."

The entire place became silent for a while before the reporters murmured again.

How could he say those words?!

He was taking revenge for that post, wasn't he?

Since he was the CEO, no one could say a single word. Even Julia's agent, who was also standing among the crowd, facepalmed herself and secretly scolded the singer in her heart.

If only this girl had managed to stay calm and collected back then…. None of these things would have happened.

After a while, Victor chuckled and said, "Just kidding. I only wanted to give her a scare."

Julia's shoulders relaxed when she heard it. This person married her for a reason and wouldn't let his image tarnish like that for no reason. Even if it were revenge against her, he wouldn't take things to the public.

So she was confident that the man wouldn't do anything extreme to her at the moment.

When she was thinking about this, she heard him speaking: "But she did make a mistake, after all. If only she could make a public apology and coax me." He turned to her and asked, "You will, sweety, won't you?"

Julia's body shivered when she heard that tone. It was a mixture of low and dangerous at the same time. She gulped and realized that she had hit herself in the foot by doing what she did. She took a deep breath and said, "O-Of course."

Her smile was so fake that even she cringed and lowered her head. She took her hand back when he loosened his hold and said, "I'm sorry."

"Hmm? Just like that? I'm not too easy to coax." Victor's enchanting voice echoed in her ears.

Julia gritted her teeth and suppressed her urge to glare at his face. Then she took a deep breath and said, "I'll do whatever you want."

The corners of Victor's lips curved up as he showed a satisfied smile on his face. His shoulders also relaxed at this moment. "I was just playing with you. I'm sure you didn't mean to post that on your profile."

Julia nodded as she guessed the man was probably very angry. "That's right. I didn't mean it at all."

The reporters saw this conservation in front of their cameras as their eyes lit up. How good! These two people had protection like this right in front of them! This was good content!

When Julia thought she could relax, she heard the man saying: "So I'll be inside and wait for you to coax me. Then we'll have a nice time at night, won't we?"

The girl shivered again. She nodded instinctively and said, "You're not incompetent."

"That's good."

After saying that, Victor entered the banquet hall all alone as he left his wife behind her to be shot by the cameramen surrounding the entrance filled with flowers. She stared at the cameras that shot one pic of her after another in and daze.

What just happened?

Did he ask her to coax him publically?!

Like heck, she would! Over her dead body!

But when she turned and saw an angry expression on her agent's face that specifically told her not to make any mess this time, Julia pursed her lips and sighed.

Fine. It's just coaxing, and it's all fake already. They would just be acting in front of the entire crowd anyway. It didn't matter.

After thinking like this, she turned and walked inside the banquet hall after Victor.

She had thought she would grab the man's hand and make a public display of 'fake' affection, but she was probably thinking too much. The moment she entered, she saw Victor being surrounded by several ladies who flaunted their bodies in front of him. Even men stuffed themselves in between women to present glasses of wine to him.

In short, in the entire banquet filled with people, bartenders, and waiters, everyone's eyes were only on the man. No one even spared a glance at her face!

Victor glanced at her momentarily and smiled before turning away as if he didn't care about being coaxed. He talked business with men standing around him.

The corners of Julia's lips twitched. She took a deep breath. "Fine. If you aren't willing, then why should I even try? I'll drink myself all alone in one corner!"

After thinking like this, she really went to the bartender and ordered a drink.
