Leviathan

"Why are you doing this?" My words came as almost a whisper and Leviathan took one more step close to me. My heart felt heavy, eyes turned moist to the point I could no longer see him clearly.

I had no idea why he was doing this. Why was he making me feel this way? No one has ever cared this way for me, not even my family.

He raised a hand and slipped his finger to my cheek. "You're so precious to me, my sweet," he murmurs, voice low, tone tender. I freeze, my breath contorting in my chest like a stiff, sharp bevel that scrapes my nerves into awareness.

He carefully draws closer until a finger trails down my cheek. My skin tingles at the contact, but I continue to hold perfectly still, too nervous to even flutter my eyelids closed and then the tears dropped from my eyes. And he didn't waste a time to catch it.

"I don't want you to get hurt," I whispered the most disturbing words out of my lips.
