Later that noon, the King returned to the palace with his three sons. As they entered, an urgent report reached them about Princess Dahlia's poisoning.
"What?" Daedric's voice echoed in the grand hall, his face paling with shock. "She was poisoned?" His disbelief was evident as he looked toward the informant, waiting for confirmation.
"Princess Dahlia is well now, Your Royal Highness," the informant replied quickly, trying to reassure him. "The situation has been handled."
Daedric's initial relief was short-lived as panic set in. "But who could have done this?" His mind raced, trying to comprehend how such an act could happen within the palace walls. Without waiting for further explanation, he turned to his father. "I'll take my leave here, Father," Daedric said with a quick bow. Before anyone could respond, he spun on his heels and hurriedly left.
