Transmigrating into a role-playing game was cool but things were not that simple for me. the role-playing game I transmigrated in was completely unknown to me. Do you know why? it's because that game was played by my friend, not by me and I don't know a thing about the plot or the characters inside it except about how to obtain the cutest pet in the said game because my friend was an animal lover and he used to brag about the pet that he got and how cute it is to me. the only saving grace is that I have a system with me but it is grumpy when it comes to giving rewards and it has a chunnibyou complex. Currently participating in WPC 244- unexpected gifts so if you like the story, pls give me power stones to help me win. thnx.

"Now now, shut up and sit down you crazy maniacs!!"Professor dumbbell shouted as he entered the class.
" Hey, you!!! yes, you. get to your sit. I won't repeat it."
"Now let us begin. I presume that you all received your weapons already, if not please speak now." No one said anything.
"Great, then follow me. I would have preferred a lecture but it's better that you guys first get familiar with your weapon."
"I assume that you have the common sense to walk in order and not create a crowd." He picked his materials and exited the room while waving at us.
"Even if we walk peacefully, it would still create a sight to behold. After all, our class strength is a thousand strong." Liam mockingly remarked to me as I stood up.
Sadly, our seats had grown apart after the random arrangement but he still comes to talk whenever possible.
"So where did you run away last night?" Stella joined us.
"I just needed some fresh air, that's all." I rolled my eyes. It's hilarious that we all were walking in a corridor while carrying god knows how many types of weapons.
You could find sci-fi mortars to scythe in our group. I wonder if it was the right choice to choose a sword as my weapon with others carrying rocket launchers like weapons.
How in hell would I deal with that? Was I already hopeless?
"Just fresh air? You could have stayed in the vicinity if you just needed some fresh air."
"Okay, I needed some quiet too. I watched stars from a quiet place after I disappeared from the place. And I don't understand why I have to give you a detailed account of it?" I fear that I told them that I was with a girl, they would start pestering me all the time even though nothing happened.
We entered the training grounds. I was about to ask how would we see the professor if everyone was standing but before I could ask, a portion of the floor rose 4 feet higher than the rest, and our professor stood on it.
"For some, the weapon is familiar. For others, it is not. Create appropriate distance from each other and start practicing what you know. Today, we will just get used to the weapon."
"Even though you have practiced sword art from an early age and you have chosen a sword as your weapon yesterday. Remember that the sword in your hand is different than what you have used before."
"It's wavelength, sharpness, width, and balance is all different. Test it out, swing it to get a feel of it."
"To others that are new to your weapon type, you guys need to start from the beginning. Apply for a basic weapon art related to your weapon from the Academy via your devices."
"I expect you to practice for an hour every day with your weapon during your free time.
Yes, it is not fair that you need to work more than others but the world is not a fair place. The early you get used to it, the better it is for you."
"Now what are waiting for, start practicing, or do I have to personally instruct all of you." In the end, he was almost shouting even though his lips were not open much.
"umm, professor?" One of the girls on the right raised her hand.
"Yes?"
"My weapon is highly destructive when used. I don't think I could practice it here." Her weapon was a 5-foot canon with a diameter of 1.4 feet. It looked really cool to me.
It likely used mana as fuel instead of shells.
"Why not? Here, let me show you. Pass me your weapon." Professor walked toward the edge of the elevated stage while raising his hand to ask her to pass the weapon.
Once he received it, he walked in the middle again.
"The thing you have to remember is that while a close-range weapon couldn't work as a long-range weapon, some of the long-range ones could. Like this thing here. Just utilize it as a very fat rod." He handled the 25-kilo weapon like a stick as he showed some basic spear and rod techniques with it while perfectly displaying the raw strength of the weapon.
It was like he was using a tree trunk as a spear. He was agile and flexible while the weapon was just raw strength.
"If you chose such a heavy weapon, then you must already know the reinforcement technique, right?"
The girl nodded still admiring the skills she had just seen displayed by the professor.
He nodded before addressing us all," Do not use mana techniques today, just focus on finding different ways you can fight with your weapon. Be innovative."
"I heard that teenagers were the most innovative people, prove it to me. Best of luck."
*** Third-person P.O.V.
Everyone started to practice what they already know. Some stood out among them.
They were not the ones that Steve expected.
Steve thought since the students from wealthy and prestigious families were trained from an early age, they should stand out from the crowd because they would likely be practicing more complex tricks but instead the students that stood out were those that didn't belong to those families.
The wealthy children were instead diligently performing the most basic stances and katas.
He quickly realized that the people performing advanced stances were just trying to show off and raise their worth in front of others but he still couldn't understand why the wealthy kids were doing the same as normal students instead of doing advanced stances too since they most likely knew them.
Thankfully he didn't have to ask it himself since Stella had the same question and ended up asking first.
Liam calmly replied to her query," If you can doesn't mean you should. My brother always used to practice basic movements during the vacation so I asked him why he does that and he replied that the basic katas and movements are the foundation of your weapon arts."
"The more refined and perfect it is, the more your weapon art would be effective. Plus, everyone is different and so everyone has a slightly different art form even if they learn the same techniques and katas. The first step to making your own personal art form is to refine your basic katas according to your body."
"And last but not least, you need to show basic decency to your teacher. Since he said to perform basic arts and you should focus on that and try to find the reason why he said that."
"Look, even though the professor didn't say anything about it if you notice carefully he is only pointing out errors to students that are performing basic arts even though the advance your art is, the higher it is to make mistakes because it is more complex."
Steve realized that Liam was right, even though the professor haven't objected to those students, he was also not giving any pointers to them.
It was very likely that they ended up on the arrogant student's list instead of promising students.
Thankfully for him, He only knew the basic kata provided by his system so he couldn't perform advanced katas even if he wanted to. In a way, one of his disadvantages ended up protecting him from getting into the bad list of his professor.
