Chapter 1: psycho system

*** around 8 hours later

"umm, my head!!...." I muttered subconsciously as I rolled around on the floor.

I just lied on the floor for some time as I collected myself. It felt like I had two separate pairs of memories, surprisingly in both of them, I was an orphan.

'In this new memory, I was born in a small town named east clawville, the name was given because there is a claw-shaped rock on the east side of the town. whoever named it this had pretty bad naming sense but this was none of my business. what was worrying is that in this world, 4056 years ago humans encountered the supernatural because during that time two different worlds were aligned with this world, and beings from those worlds entered this world. the human civilization almost got destroyed due to these creatures in the next 200 years until humans started to adapt to the energies and magical substances such as magica that were produced due to the alignment of worlds and developed superpowers.

Even though all humans were not born with supernatural powers. it still gave humans enough strength to save themselves from extinction. After 300 years of being aligned, worlds again started to get distant from each other. while I would not revise the whole history of this world at this moment, the thing that I liked to point out was that there are dangerous beings in this world that I should be beware of.'

I got up from the floor and sat down on the bed with some effort and then checked if there was any new message on the watch.

**synchronization complete** Only this message was blinking on the screen so I hesitantly clicked on the hologram screen and apparently it could be operated by touch so some new text appeared.

I sat waiting for a reply but I only met with silence with frustrated me to no end. finally defeated I clicked on the missions tab.

1) praise the great system{ could be repeated indefinable times }

reward: a little temporary favorability of the system towards you.

2) practice the art of sword until your sword mastery reaches rank C again.

note: because the body still remembered the art subconsciously, the sword mastery would be upgraded 2 times faster than normal until you reached rank C. the bonus is only available until 30 days from now on.

rewards: having the ability to try to defend yourself if someone tried to kill you.

3) make your magic sensitivity stop fluctuating

description: because your soul was transmigrated dimensions, it is highly sensitive to dimensional energies and magic energy is created due to friction between aligned worlds which makes you exceptionally magic sensitive towards it but you had never learned to sense magic which is why your rank is constantly fluctuating. learn to sense magic from a skilled individual and then improve your sensitivity by practicing until fluctuation of rank stops.

Rewards: The ability to further progress in strength as magic sensitivity is a core ability of every skilled advanced ability user, without it you will be bound by your mortal restraints.

"What kind of rewards are these?? aren't you just telling me what I will archive after doing that particular action?? where are rewards like some new skill or material that might help me like a sword for example?" I criticized this stupid system that only knows how to praise himself.

"Then you are pretty much useless." I sighed as I finally got up from bed and looked around to find my phone. I checked to see if I got any messages from the academy. sadly, in this world, I don't have friends as I used to travel a lot with my master until I got accepted into the tera academy.

According to memories, it is a worldwide renowned institution that is situated at the heart of the republic of Asia, It is an academy that creates a fine fighting force that gets deployed at the frontlines as well as heroes that fight against terrorists with superpowers inside territories ruled by humans.

While there are many academies throughout the human-owned territories, the tera academy stands firm at the top. that's why I'm here even though I was born in the Republic of western group of nations.

I'm a foreign student and many students apply to study here every year from worldwide so im not considered uncommon.

my first-year term will begin in a month that's why I'm currently staying at the outer wall academy city which surrounds the inner wall academy city in a circular shape.

Inner wall city is reserved for already admitted students and necessary staff.

The Academy itself is in the center of the whole city. I will be a student of such a prestigious academy even though the only thing that got me inside it is at rock bottom right now.

I got admitted because of my sword mastery as an average student according to the academy's standards. the past owner of this body knew about it too and he never had the delusion that he could become a hero, it was pretty clear to him that he could only become a front-line warrior with his mediocre talent, and now even that mediocre talent is at rock bottom.

While I want to live a normal life, I think it's better to learn how to fight and protect myself as mission rewards clearly state that only by improving my skills I would have a chance to try to protect myself which in a way implies that my life would be full of dangers. I know that im being paranoid but it's better to be paranoid than lose my second chance at life and tera academy is the best choice to find a skilled individual easily that could teach me magic sensitivity.
