Taking off the corset
Ave frowned upon hearing his words. How could she take off her corset when he was in the room with her? But then, if she didn't take it off, she wouldn't be able to enjoy tonight's sleep as the damn thing was squeezing the breath out of her lungs.
Looking at his broad back, she bit down on her lips in hesitation, and then seeing how dark the room was, with the only light coming from a lamp that would soon extinguish itself, Ave sat up and decided to take it off, as he wouldn't be able to see her even if he were to turn around and look.
But just to be certain, she said to his back, "Don't turn around. I want to take my clothes off."
Perhaps it was her ears, but she thought she heard him snort before muttering, "There's nothing there to see in a body that has been used."
"What? Did you say something?" Ave asked, only to be met with silence from the man, who completely ignored her as though he were sleeping.
