Qi Hui cleared his throat. He was talking to Liu Qian with the airs of a boss when he changed his tune and said encouragingly, "Although Huo Yao isn't a Science student, she is the top Arts scholar."
Prof Zhao had personally made an exception for the top Arts scholar to join the Biology department, so he was not stupid enough to openly make things difficult for her. However, it was out of the question to place her in his Biotechnology division.
He had to make the stupid Liu Qian his fall guy.
Qi Hui paused before he continued. "Even though she doesn't have any foundation in Science, she can work on it. After all, no one becomes good in the field of Biology overnight."
Liu Qian frowned even harder.
Why did Mr. Qi sound as though he did not want the top Arts scholar? He did not join in when the other teachers refused to take Huo Yao in. He simply could not bear making her study something she was not interested in and wanted to help her.
