Transmigrated Again Into An Alternate Pokemon World

"Finally, I've done it. I'm the Champion."

"Well done, you are the new Champion of Kanto."

A boy who looked around fourteen years of age stood across from an old man. Both of them had pokeballs in their hands, and could clearly be seen as Red and Professor Oak. However, this was not entirely accurate, as the soul of a sixteen year old boy named Laelius had entered Red's body right before he was able to choose his starter Pokemon.

After three years of catching Pokemon and training them, he had finally reached the Pokemon League and defeated the Champion, who happened to be the Pokemon professor.

Professor Oak led Red, or Laelius, through the doors behind him into the Hall of Fame. It was here that his team was recorded:

Charizard: Level 85

Dragonite: Level 83

Snorlax: Level 84

Machamp: Level 82

Gengar: Level 83

Ditto: Level 100

This was the team of six which Laelius had opted for while taking on the Elite Four and Champion, and he was very proud of the work he had put into it. Unlike in the games, it was impossible to see the stats or moves of his Pokemon, but training his Pokemon allowed them to learn new moves which could be named and used from that point on.

While his team was being entered into the Hall of Fame, Laelius' vision started to become blurry before going completely black. When he opened his eyes again, he was back in his room in his real home. This made him incredibly happy as he could finally live a normal life and see all of his family and friends.

However, this happiness was short lived as he heard a noise in his mind, 'Tutorial Complete.'

"No, no, no, no! Why?! This can't happen again!"

As he was freaking out about the voice he heard, his vision went black again and he awoke in an unfamiliar room. It was made of wood and had an open window on one side of it which made Laelius assume that the world he was in was much less developed than either one he had been in before.

He looked around the room to see if there was anything else, and his eyes landed on a bookshelf. He walked over to it, and noticed his difficulty in doing this which he realised was due to the body he had inhabited being relatively overweight.

He wanted to sort this out as quickly as possible, but before he started on that he planned to read through all of the books on the bookshelf in an attempt to find out more about the world he was in.

After reading through the books, he found some interesting information.

In this world, people could have six Pokemon at one time, but this was not due to any restrictions such as the law, it was instead due to the inhabitants of the world only being able to have soul links with six Pokemon at one time. This was because the size of their soul was unable to link with more than that. Laelius had a thought that he may be able to have twelve Pokemon at one time instead of six, as he had both his own soul and more than likely the soul of the person who previously inhabited the body he was now in.

The reason why trainers had to soul link with their Pokemon was due to pokeballs not existing, this also meant trainers had to be very careful with the Pokemon that they chose to train.

He also found out that things like dynamaxing Pokemon or using Z moves did not exist in this world, or had not been found at least. However, Mega Evolving Pokemon was a known way of making Pokemon stronger temporarily while in battle.

It also seemed as though there was no Pokemon League, or gyms, but the hierarchy of the world was decided by the strength of an individual's Pokemon team. This meant he could get not only power in terms of his Pokemon's strength, but also political power if his team was strong enough.

There also seemed to be records of Pokemon from every known region from the Pokemon games which meant there would be a lot of choices for his team.

After finding all of this information, he started to think about what kind of trainer he wanted to be. He could have a team with a lot of type diversity, focus on a few types, or focus on just one type.

He thought for a moment to himself before deciding, despite them being among the rarest types of Pokemon, he wanted to train Dragon, Fairy, and Steel type Pokemon. However, Pokemon with these typing's and another type would count as well, as sole type Pokemon were normally weaker. This would mean, if his two souls theory was correct, he could have four of each type, or two of each if he was wrong. He chose these types as they were the strongest three types and having multiple Pokemon of the same typing would increase the chemistry of his team.

He had previously been a trainer who trained an array of types, but now that he had a wider range of Pokemon to choose from, which included a lot of Dragon, Steel, and Fairy types, which were not available in the 'tutorial'.

Laelius thought some more, and decided on the twelve, or six if he could not have twelve, Pokemon that he wanted to train.

Steel:

Aggron Line: Steel, Rock (Definite (If Possible) 12)

Aegislash: Steel, Ghost (Definite 6)

Metagross: Steel, Psychic (Definite 6)

Copperajah Line: Steel (Definite (If Possible) 12)

Dragon:

Garchomp Line: Dragon, Ground (Definite 6)

Kommo-o: Dragon, Fighting (Definite (If Possible) 12)

Kingdra: Dragon, Water (Definite 6)

Goodra: Dragon (Definite (If Possible) 12)

Fairy:

Togekiss: Fairy, Flying (Definite 6)

Grimmsnarl: Fairy, Dark (Definite 6)

Whimsicott: Fairy, Grass (Definite (If Possible) 12)

Sylveon: Fairy (Definite (If Possible) 12)

Laelius picked these twelve, as they were all very strong Pokemon, and there were nine dual type Pokemon, and three single type Pokemon, one of each type. None of the Pokemon's typings crossed over with one another, which meant their moves, and type match ups would be varied.

However, he could not encounter or catch any of these Pokemon without going outside first, so he left his room and went down the stairs that were at the end of the hall.
