Although Cori did not manage to get any rare items, he felt he benefited a lot from this guided tour. He felt he had gained more confidence in his ability as a slime. On the other hand, Alice's machine learning ability allowed it to develop its artificial personality further, becoming a little bit more conniving than usual.
Cori wondered aloud along the way to the next destination, "What is inter-link power?" Alice deciphered his speech and answered, "According to our historical database the inter-link power is also known as the entity called truck-kun. He used to be a delivery man who delivered food across the multiverse-space-time. The deities used to have a crush on him." Cori fell silent after learning more about truck-kun the personification of inter-link power.
"Evolution of weaponries".
Cori entered the hall. Sure enough, the museum showcased every weapon imaginable and beside each of them was a small description. Cori was surprised that even the atomic bomb was included in the collection.
Alice asked, "Do you want to try the weapons?" "Even the tanks and atomic bombs?" Cori squealed. Alice deciphered his speech and replied, "Only those that you can hold. Besides, the logic of atomic bombs do not work in this world. Different deities, different world building rules." The answer was curt, Cori understood what Alice meant immediately. There was only one constant he could nor get off his mind; truck-kun. Perhaps he still held some resentment for the one who "transported" him to this world against his will.
The first weapon Cori went to was the wand while expecting a hairy potter experience just like the movies. "Oh! that wand is probably not suitable for..." Alice tried to warn Cori, but it was too late. The wand casted a wonky spell and sprayed squid ink on his face when Cori held it. "How is this a weapon? It's more like a prank toy!" Cori thought as Alice cleaned him up using a spell.
Cori wondered maybe it is better for the wands to choose him instead and asked Alice to help him with it. Alice obliged after translating what he said. The wands were all lined up in a single row on a pedestal in front of him, but as soon as Cori appeared in front of them the wand flipped and turned its tip away from him; as if snobbing him and giving him the cold shoulder.
Alice, "I'm afraid they don't see you as their master, Master." Cori felt rejected. Next were a row of magic sceptres. Cori tried them and were able to transform. But he always ended up in some frilly dress so he had given up using them too, even though their basic attack powers were very good.
After another round, he felt none of the weapons were suitable. So Alice took the initiative, "Master, after diagnosis, you have the weapon mastery skill. Would you like me to pick out the suitable ones and give it a go?" Cori bounced up and down in agreement.
Weapons from each category floated from their display to Cori in a single file. A giant marble golem was also summoned on the basis of testing the weapons. The awakened golem begun attacking Cori. Cori dodged with a surprised squeal, "What is this!"
Alice, "Master, test the weapons and parry the attacks." Cori seemed to have gotten used to Alice's antics, so he did as told. Alice passed the weapons to Cori to let him try one at a time.
The first weapon was a yellow magic talisman with red wordings on it, Cori used it and successfully summoned a fire ball to hit the golem. Too bad it was only a one time use item. The golem took the damage like a champ and threw a punch back in retaliation , This time Cori used a sabre and knocked its punch away. The golem used the momentum and threw a kick towards Cori while balancing on its tail.
Not missing a beat, Alice passed the military forks to Cori. Cori blocked the attack and suppressed the kick. The golem slammed onto the ground. Cori was pleasantly surprised that he was strong enough to overcome the strength of the golem with just the military forks. However, Alice was also secretly adjusting and increasing the strength of the golem every turn.
Cori then tried the druid staff next and whacked the body of the golem with it. The staff casted a binding spell and bound the marble golem with vines. But the vines were too weak and was easily snapped off. Cori took a familiar looking wand from Alice, "this again!".
The wand sprayed a good amount of ink, blinding the golem. Next Cori took a magical mirror make up artefact and squeaked, "Earth Pretty Power Make Up!". The artefact activated but the transformation failed because it could not understand what Cori said. Having lost his momentum, the golem spunned on its tail and landed two kicks on him "-1", "-1"! Cori smashed against the wall with little damage taken. "... It was still very painful!" Cori squealed loudly as he cried. Cori missed the opportunity to use the weapon Alice thrown to him. Out of desperation, he auto summoned a golden shield through his skill and used shield-bash on the golem. The golem was pushed several metres back.
Alice was intrigued, "The shield that Cori ate actually manifested as an aura holy shield, which could both act as a shield and a weapon. This was unprecedented! I must record this historical moment!" Cori jumped backwards to reach the dagger on the floor. He made a leap in the air and thrusted it into the golem's eye in the middle of its head. But alas the dagger was not hard enough to even create a dent on it. Cori threw the dagger away while bouncing away from the golem. He then somersaulted in mid air and grabbed the sword Alice passed to him with one paw. A punch appeared out of no where and he barely parried it. Being knocked back, Cori bit on a katana Alice threw to him and grabbed another sword from the floor.
Armed with 3 swords, he leaped into the air, and slashed off the golem's tail. The golem lost its balance and fell. Taking the chance, Cori air-bounced and spun 360 degrees, concentrating the tips of the swords like a drill. The golem with no where to run, crossed its arms across his head, protecting its eye.
But the swords bored through it like tofu and took out its eye - the golem core, leaving the golem lifeless. Panting, Cori dropped the swords. This was harder than he thought. Alice kept the camera away and restored the weapons and golem to its original position.
Cori sipped his bubble tea, rewarding himself with the addictive drink. Alice also took the chance to email the footage to the deity. The deity was very pleased to see the development. He thought Cori would hit the gym instead of performing martial arts. Happy with what he saw, he replied Alice to reward Cori appropriately. Alice agreed and noted the message. "The best reward is to have more training!" Alice stifled a chuckle, already planning what to do with the baby slime.
Cori felt a chill down his spine, although he was spineless. While everyone's attention was diverted by the small hurrah, the small wand rolled its way toward the slightly golden baby slime discreetly and slid into its dimensional bag like a worm. Not even Alice took any notice of it. Alice asked, "So which weapon do you feel the most at ease?" Cori, still panting, used his paws and pointed to the swords. He wanted to say the talisman but it was already burnt up when he used it.
Alice helped Cori expand his stats under weapon mastery, "Under weapon mastery, you have 3 times more affinity with swords than others. Interest... you also have 2 times more affinity with wands than others."
"Could the wands be a bunch of tsunderes?" Cori wondered. Alice gifted Cori a potion to help relieve his fatigue and restore his stamina. "Let's continue the tour!" Alice said happily with pride.
