Chapter 80: Are you in love?
"Thank you so much Doctor Huo. We will be leaving now." Li Wei slightly bowed to the old man and Ling Yue did the same in her wheel chair. Li Wei pulled her chair out of the room and wheeled it into the silent corridor of the hospital. None of them spoke. Both of them had many things going on in mind. No. It was only Li Wei who had many things running in his mind. Ling Yue brain was practically empty right now.
"Ahem.." Finally Ling Yue cleared her throat to get Li Wei attention when he silently stood in front of the elevator without pressing any button. Only then did Li Wei realize that he was zoning out and they both got into the elevator.
"Wei. Let us go and eat first before going to your lab. Hmm?" Ling Yue cautiously asked from the side to which Li Wei simply bobbed his head. Looking at him like this, she felt bad for bringing him here. She told him not to come, but he insisted. It wasn't her intention to scare him with her condition.
Sitting in the restaurant room, Li Wei was busy making calls to his assistant to find the best doctors in the world and also to prepare the medical centre with every medical equipment as soon as possible. Ling Yue slightly smiled as she looked at him and continued drinking her soup. She couldn't eat anything heavy yet, so she maintained her diet simple and easy to digest.
"Wei. The food is getting cold. And please stop worrying about this matter. I am feeling guilty for burdening you." Ling Yue said as she arranged food onto his plate. Li Wei finally came and sat to have his lunch. Looking at Ling Yue, he didn't see any trace of panic or sadness. Why? Was she too used to listening these remarks on her reports that now she is immune.
"How are you Yueyue?" It was a simple question, but it was the first time someone asked this to her after her all-time daunting hospital checkups.
"Li Wei. I am fine. Actually. I expected something like this. Though dementia was unexpected, but it's fine. We still have time. Let us see what all we can do. For now I am fine. Hmm?" Ling Yue said as if coaxing a him. Funny, isn't it? She is the one cheering him up while it should be the other way around. Li Wei simply sighed and nodded. Might be he wouldn't be panicking this much had he not seen when Xenxi and Min Hua died.
They didn't talk about the reports anymore and Ling Yue diverted the conversation to busy. Though Li Wei's mind was still on her treatment, he appreciated her efforts to cheer him up. Everyone in the Li family knew how less Ling Yue talks and most of the her talking would be while teaching Li Mei or while father Li riles her up. But now Ling Yue spoke through out the lunch. Hence Li Wei didn't waste her efforts and contributed to the conversation till the end of the lunch.

"The research team is already ready with all the information you us before hand. But making the drug will take time and it might not be possible by the deadline you gave." The research team head politely informed Li Wei regarding the drug preparation. The deadline was two early to finish. Five months? Seriously?
"Then recruit more members but I want the work done by the given deadline. You can forget about your practise if it is not done." Li Wei concluded the discussion at this. The team members pursed their lips but nodded vigorously. The pay was too high and they have already signed the contract. Now they can't back out.
"And the end result should be positive. I don't want a failure as a answer." The team again nodded. Of course they all know who this man standing in front of them is. They cannot be reckless and show any bogus medicine they create. They might lose their heads for that.
"Zhang Chen. Do a thorough background of everyone who joins the team. And maintain the security tight. I have sent you the reports about the new security. Go through it and arrange everything." Zhang Chen nodded and immediately opened his mail to check the reports. He read the report twice and halted in his steps. Huh? Z_Heights will take care of the security? Since when did that happen?
He shrugged and thought of just following his boss's orders and saw him out. Ling Yue was already inside the car after giving her blood samples inside. Though Li Wei said that she could join the meeting, she rejected. One, because she trusted him and wanted him to know that. Two, because she was tired and their trip for today was not even done completely. They still have to go and Chen Meiling because Mother Li asked her to go and meet her once.
"Wei. Can we just go back home. I don't want to go to another hospital now." Ling Yue pitifully pleaded him making him chuckle at her cute expression. He knew she was tired but this was the last trip. If not now, then Ling Yue would definitely not come out to got to hospital. He knew it and it was better to visit it now itself.
"It won't take long. We will go back home soon." Li Wei smiled as he said that. Ling Yue didn't notice, but he did. She said 'home' and not 'Li Mansion'. And Ling Yue didn't even realise that these days she was becoming more expressive.

"Oh my. How did you get onto a wheel chair again?" Chen Meiling questioned as soon as she saw her most troublesome patient being wheeled into the room.
"It's nothing. I got hurt in my stomach. That's it." Ling Yue easily brushed the topic off and Chen Meiling too wasn't very much interested in this topic. She wanted to how her patient was coping up.
"Alright. How are you? Do you still have nightmares? How about your headaches? When are you going to start your treatment again? And did you miss me?" Chen Meiling took a deep breathe after firing her questions and waited for Ling Yue to reply.
"I am fine. No, I didn't have any nightmares recently. I still get headaches but not too severe. I am not going to start the therapy again. And no, I didn't miss you." Ling Yue answered her questions in order. Chen Meiling was stunned hearing Ling Yue. In the past, Ling Yue wouldn't bother to answer the questions she didn't like. She would probably answer three out of ten and expect Chen Meiling to be grateful for answering her questions. But now, she answered all of them. And what more. This girl looked more tamed.
"OMG.. Mr Li. Did she finally fall in love with you?" Chen Meiling almost screamed in excitement as she looked at Li Wei. Li Wei immediately gazed at Ling Yue who avoided his gaze skillfully.
"Sister Chen. Why are you behaving like a high school kid. Why are you shouting?"
"Girl. What do you mean by that? Huh? You never used to talk this much before, but look at you now. You have patience to ask me about why I am screaming? And your previous antarctic glacier eyes are looking quite warm. Huh ah hahh.." Chen Meiling wiggled her eyebrows playfully but soon regretting it. The room temperature dropped to negatives and Ling Yue's stop-wasting-my-time persona was out making the doctor gulp in fear.
She should have guessed it. This girl was scary. Hmphh.. But still. Ling Yue's improvement was really noticeable. This was something that didn't happen even after many years of therapy sessions. She took a quick glance at the young man sipping on his tea beside Ling Yue. Li Wei didn't show any reaction to the conversation.
