It just doesn't make any sense

The office window flew open to allow an odd whirlwind to crash into the interrogation venue. Kaiden was no longer enjoying his dad's reason for staying quiet for far longer than a minute or two. He reckoned the silence brutal enough as it deposited a weight of panic inside him. A clutch of guilt seized his heart cells and Kaiden started to feel the air of the room grow thinner irrespective of the showy breeze that kept forcing its way inside the Study room.

Mr. Chase studied him and saw how his lips trembled under the façade of faking strength.

''What do you want me to do?'' Kaiden asked with a note of indifference in his voice.

''Well, Kai... What I require you to do is pretty easy. You are going to have to keep yourself busy and work. The more you work, the more you will be able to erase such ugly feelings for Jake out of your life.''

''Dad! I will not accept you talking bad about my boyfriend.''
