"Good day Alpha." A few of my pack who were out by that time of the day greets me as I walked past, but I paid no attention to them.
I have important things to think of, that don't include returning the greeting as they hoped.
My mate is lying on his bed, unconscious, while his mother has refused to talk to me. And she vowed never to acknowledge me until her son woke.
And I don't know when my mate will wake. This means, I get to spend my days in misery, and my night watching over my mate.
"Alpha David," my best friend whom I'm going to make a Beta when the time comes, bowed when he came to a stop, in front of me.
"What's it?" I snapped in anger.
"The pack are restless. They can feel your distress, and it's affecting us all."
"That's how I feel deep within me." I turn to him, "my mate is still lying on that bed, for three weeks. Three weeks he has been there. My mother-in-law wants nothing to do with me.
