Waking up the next day with a familiar back ache and slight pain I stretch and get up to start my day. 'I've really got to find something better to sleep on, this cardboard is killing me everyday. Maybe I should borrow some more pillows.'
Moveing along I pull out the money I have and check it, making sure nothing happened through the night before putting most of it back and heading out of the alley. 'I should also find some place with actual food, I've only been eating from 7/11 and I can't image that's the best for a 6 year old.'
Yawning I slowly start walking in a different direction I would go normally, in the opposite direction to the 7/11 and club hangout spot. 'I don't feel bad or anything but considering I'm a child I'm gonna get sick one of these days...I really need to get some old lady to adopt me or something.'
Making my way I slightly shiver due to the colder morning air as I look and around and pear into a older looking cafe, locating a clock and reading the time gets me 8:26 AM. 'Hm, Kenji and his sister won't make it to the spot to unlock it until 4 at least. While Hara probably won't get off work until super late since he's working overtime. I basically have to whole day to myself, maybe I can go and get a hair cut or something?'
Pushing on I move past a couple more houses as I move into a more residential area along with that brings a couple of smaller more neighborhood businesses. Almost as if the gods themselves are listening to me I see a small shop with an older man cutting the hair of a younger guy in his 20's.
'...That's oddly good luck. Unfortunately I have like a thousand or two to spend at the most and I'm not sure that's enough for a hair cut....Though I could just pull pity card.' Smirking slightly I put a more uncertan look on my face as walk up to the quote on quote business.
The barber is working out of his garage with a sign hanging from the top of his garage door. Though it is quite good looking as the floor is clean and while you'd expect a dusty interior and smell no of that is present.
Slowly creeping into the garage I start to look around while waiting for the older man to notice me, while I do that I take out a couple 100 yen coins and move them in my hand putting an nervous arua around myself.
After around a minute of standing there the old man looks up from his work and towards me and as he does so he points over to another chair before looking back at his client.
'Damn, why is this guy so cool?' My first thoughts of this old man were, why is he so cool? The older man is dressed nearly exactly like an old tokyo drift character with an white tank top, slightly baggy black pants and a sliver chain around his neck. Along with that the man he's cutting hair for is also cool as hell. He's a younger man probably around 25 or so with a all black suit on and a gold wrist on his right arm.
'Where am I? Did I accidentally walk into a movie set or something? Why do both of these guy look so bad ass?' "Boy you can sit down, I'm almost done with this gentleman over here." The older man calls out while still focusing on cutting the young man hair.
"o-Ok!" I sit down in one of the chairs he pointed at and wait. It only takes another 5 or so minutes before the old man send the younger man on his way getting a couple bills passed to him.
"So boy, what are you doing here? You should be with your parents or in school by now." The old man turn back to me after seeing the young man off. "I wanted to get a hair cut! People have been saying that I need one so..."
Upon seeing my response the old man's eye brows raise as he asks. "People? Do you not have parents or something?" I flinch a little at that and the man takes note and continues speaking.
"Ah. Sorry must have been a little to blunt. You can come on, business is slow these days anyway. Though don't think you can weasel your way out of paying I saw you take out your coins, you've got a pretty good amount of cash on ya."
My face twitches slightly after he says that but I sit down anyway. 'looks like I won't be able to get my discount, but I guess that's fine. I've been wanting to spend some money for a while.'
"Don't worry even though you tried to scam me I'll still make sure you look good, after all you've got some good hair up here." The old man starts to comb through my hair and as he does so he kicks my chair back and into a raised bucket.
"I can't work with it if it's this dirty, so I'll be washing it. Though it will cost ya a little extra got it brat?"
