I remembered the original leader of the sport's club. Tyler Jones. He was in love with Jaclyn, but he said that he'd be back around the time we get out of high school. I've kept in touch with him since he left.
"Come on, Rubes!" he said. "I will tell her soon."
"Then come home and live with your grandmother. Just because mommy and daddy don't live in Canada that doesn't mean grandma doesn't."
"Okay, I'll be home soon."
"Tyler, just get back here as soon as possible. And when you do, I'll frog you as hard as I can!"
"Good luck with that. My arms are bit stronger, Ruby."
"I never said in the arm."
"You are scary." he said as I heard his mother say something. "Okay, gotta go."
He hung up as soon as the bus got to my house. I dashed outside and sat next to Ty. Jaclyn and Rose were as normal as they could be.

Back to Class
~
I walked into the hallway with my class and the rest of the high schoolers. I exchanged my reading books for mathematics and science.
"Why do we need all of our classes?" I groaned.
"Plenty of jobs require some of these skills." Jaclyn said as she slipped her phone into the satchel she carries around.
"One, I saw that. Two, you sound like a nerd now."
"I. Don't. Give. A. Fuck." she said as she cleaned off her glasses.
"Speak of the devil." I said as Carter walked to his locker. He's hated me since we met, so why would I like HIM?
"I think he's just misunderstood." Jaclyn said as she put her glasses on.
"Why? Because you love him?" I said as- OUCH! Jaclyn hit me with her science textbook.
"Ladies, stop." Ty said as he helped me up and put Jaclyn's book down.
"Fuck off." she said as Noah walked over.
"Has anyone seen the new student?" Noah said as he look between us.
"In your class? Yeah, I think he went towards the restrooms. Why?" Rose said as she put her hair in a ponytail.
"I might be able to find love!" Noah said as he trapped all four of us in a tight hug.
"He's gay too?" I said as he let go of us.
"Yes. And he is an absolutely amazing person." Noah said as he opened his locker.
"Invite him to lunch, I guess. Let us meet him." Ty said.
"I swear, we're like an actual family." Jaclyn said as she pointed to me. "The pissed off mom." then, to Ty. "The usually calm dad." now, Noah. "The gay brother." Rose. "Helpful big sister." then, herself. "Child in the middle."
Then, the bell rang and we all ran to math class. Later on, I think I shattered Jaclyn's shoulder because she called me the pissed off mom.
