Scarlett's POV

"YOU CAN'T SHIFT!" his cold loud voice finalized, vibrating through the entire wall of the pack house. Wolves would be awaken at then intensity of their Alpha's anger.

I found myself shuddering with furious anger, a painful shiver spread through my body till the tip of my very toes.

My hands were stiff to my side with my fingers dipping into the fabric of my red summer dress, I'm sure to have made holes with my finger already.

My heart clenched and unclenched as my eyes became wet with unshed tears, my heart was broken. Broken is an understatement I'm torn right now!.

"Is that why you were having me poisoned?" I kept my voice low and intent, speaking through gritted teeth.

Wolfsbane! Wolfsbane for goodness sake. Is he trying to kill my wolf before I even meet her?. I doubt if this man is my father.

His solid rigid wall still stood perfectly around him, his wolf now evident in his eyes as his pupil has dilated and more darkened.

Any sane wolf would know better than to argue with an angered Alpha but not me, I was beyond being sane right now. I wanted answered and I won't stop until I get them.

The guards behind him have gone down on one knee in submission, craning their heads to the side with one called palm on their chest. Cowards!. Even Steven the gamma. But this was my battle.

"Yes!. You will not argue with me child!. You will keep every water administered to you going down your throat and I will repulse any disobedience from you."

I scoffed, letting out a dry pained laugh. This wasn't his usual way of giving me answers. He would say "it's for the safety of the pack", 'Its to keep you safe'.

Now this was his reply?.

"Your days of controlling me are over" I'm almost 20 and I want my freedom, "I loathe you for poisoning my wolf. Your are a coward, not worthy of being the Alpha of this pack."

His eyes turned dark completely, meaning his wolf had rose to the surface, I gasped at the intensity of the power and anger mixed to concentrated extent. I was forced to look away.

This wolf was angry that I questioned his power and called his a coward.

"Go!" He growled making me jump 2 feet into the air.

"Scarlett!. Go!" this time I fell on my butt because his predatory tone had me weak in the knee.

I knew it was battling with his wolf inside not to tear up shreds of flesh and skin and bones. I've read about how aggressive Alpha's can be when they're this angered.

I scrambled to my feet shakily, as I ran away from him my long mane of scarlet colored air flew back into the air, not blocking my sight and allowing to see where i was going.

The tears drizzling from my eyes tasted hot and salty as they dropped from my eyes in beads down my face and into my mouth.

More rushed out my eyes when I stepped into the fresh air.

I just found out that my own father had been having me poisoned with wolfsbane for a while now to kill my wolf. Yes! That's what wolfsbane does! It kills wolves.

They put the poison in my drinking water, my food and even my bath water. How cruel. I would have never found out if not for gamma Steven.

I let the fresh air into my lungs, the sweet scent of flowers and cloves coming with it. I opened my eyes and let myself take in the nature of the beautifully trimmed and perfect collection of different flowers.

Nature was my calmness, my resting place. Which is why my second favorite place after my room is this place, the garden. I tend to the flowers myself sometimes. I love butterflies and caterpillars and little baby snakes amongst the flower bed.

I was always either in my room, or here. If not in my room eating.

"I knew I'd find you here. Isn't it too late to be outside?."

Gamma Steven!.

I spun around to meet his young face staring down at me with concern. Even in the dark night he didn't fail to look appealing to the eyes. A gamma so young and strong.

His brown hair cut short and styled equally below his ears, his angular jaw looking smooth and sharp with no air in sight. His arms were pulled backwards, resting behind him, only making his broad thick chest looking fit in his tight fitting shirt.

Even at night, he was dressed corporately in a dark button down shirt and pants, both properly ironed without a wrinkle in sight.

He cleared his throat while raising one brow at me, "Your red eyes looks so dazzling when you're angry."

"You!. You knew all along!. Why didn't you tell me sooner?" My voice was thick and deep with anger.

"Blame the blabbermouth gamma, of course" he rolled his brown eye.

"I don't want to talk to you or that man who's not fit to my father!" My fist balled again as another type of anger found it way into my soul.

"Scarlett listen. It for your own good and for the good of this pack!."

But I was storming back into the pack house already, I tuned his voice out of my earing making sure to pass a safe place from him.

I went up the stairs in the silent house. Looking around to see if any wolf had woken up and now trying to peep at father and I's argument.

As I got to the third floor and rounded the corner to my room which was the last on the hall, a voice made me stop on my track, a voice I've loathed all my life.

"Angry, daddy's princess?" Jessica gushed.

She was the last person i wanted to see today, if not that I don't ever want too see her in my life. I always prayed she'd just disappear to never be seen one day.

I see a fight brewing!.
