The Grove.

"Ugh…" I clutched at my forehead while the medical servants circled around me. My body no longer hurts, nor do I have the cuts and scratches from my father's previous attacks.

I thought that was going to be a play fight. Something like a "oh you got me" type of thing. Instead, he whooped the everloving shit out of me for no reason other than some petty lesson. I don't actually know what the lesson IS, but I guess it has something to do with never underestimating your opponent or some preaching concept like that.

"Master Tael, are you alright?" One of the servant women asked. The concern on her face made me feel a bit nervous, so I just nodded.

"Yep. I'm good! Thanks!" I quickly stood up. "How long was I out for?"
