Night Event (1)

On the way home, we sat down by a bench at the nearby park to eat our snacks while watching little kids play.

When I finished my snack, I took the hairpin out of its case.

"Lumi, let me put it on for you."

Lumiere looked at me and nodded and she quickly put the rest of her food into her small mouth.

Holding the hairpin, I carefully held her head near my chest so that I wouldn't hurt her. I wonder if this position looks ambiguous?

I placed the hairpin neatly on her lustrous golden hair that is beyond smooth and has no split ends. With a click, the hairpin was equipped.

I let go of her head and the two of us shifted backward so I could have a good look at her.

I stared at Lumiere while nodding my head in approval. The hairpin is quite nice, I don't think there is anyone else more fitting of wearing it.

I smiled as I gave her two thumbs up.

"Great, it suits you."

I stood up as I took Lumiere's rubbish and threw mine along with her's in the bin. Afterward, we left the park and walked home.

By the time we arrived, it was already time for dinner. It seems like Stella-san already prepared dinner and was just waiting for us to return.

I headed upstairs to put my bag and jacket away. When I stepped out the door, I headed straight for the dining room.

Everyone said as we all ate dinner while having small talk.

After dinner, I helped to wash the dishes before heading to my room. My night hasn't ended yet.

In fact, there's a special event that's going to happen tonight. If I miss out, I will regret it for the rest of my life.

What event is it you ask?

It's the event I've been waiting for since my transmigration to this body. This event is a one-time limited event. I only have tonight to finish this, or else it will definitely be a failure.

Tonight, my favorite heroine will be involved. That's right, you saw that correctly.

This event is a special DLC that costs quite a bit of money, even if you buy it, if you don't complete it after the first day of school, it's permanently gone even if you were to reload your save.

Anyway, just know that this event is extremely important to me and that I must succeed. Luckily for me, I bought a mask to cover my face the other day. Only the salesperson and I know that I bought this mask.

Now, what kind of mask is it you ask? Well, the design is of a red oni with a small horn in the middle. Seeing that it was almost time, I quickly got changed into my sportswear and wore my mask.

Opening the door of my bedroom, I stood on the balcony and closed it before jumping off.

Whoosh!

I landed in the nearby tree while trying to make as little noise as I could. Dropping down to the ground like a monkey, while swinging on branches, I used my [Body Strengthening] magic as I leaped out of the mansion.

I jumped onto rooftops as I headed to town. Of course, I made sure to remove my magic on my feet when I landed and jumped off at the last second so that I wouldn't disturb anyone.

As I dashed through the night in my oni mask, I arrived in town after a few minutes.

Jumping down, I wore my jacket inside out and took off my mask as I walked around while trying to act natural.

After a few minutes, I perked my ears and found my destination.

I turned into a corner behind an alleyway, and swapped my jacket back and wore my mask. I climbed onto the building quietly and hid in the shadows while adjusting my breathing.

Just below me, I could see some men in flashy suits with scars over their faces while wearing shades.

Shades at this time of the day? The hell?

Knock. Knock.

A man from inside the building came out to answer the door.

"The merchandise is here, inform the boss."

The leader of the men who had a large scar across his cheek while wearing black shades and a purple suit with a golden tie spoke. Behind him, I could see two men holding large sacks on their backs that were squirming around.

The man that opened the door nodded as he pointed inside with his thumb.

As the men entered the building, I headed towards the back where the vents of the builder were. I opened the frame to the vent and crawled inside as I made my way inside the building.
