Visiting the City

'What was that dream? Why can't I even remember it!? Oh well nothing I can do about it for now.'

It's been a week and a half since we discussed my bloodline. My mother has been "very" enthusiastic during my training. I've learned how to manipulate 3 out of 4 elements I have. Im having a hard time learning how to utilize the nature sub-element. I feel like it's been hell but I've gained some new spells and skills. I am currently in my room after waking up and before I do anything else I take a look at my status.

I've learned these spells since my mother insisted that it's essential to know for when I delve into my first dungeon when I'm at the academy in a few years. After I learned them so quickly i saw a scary glint in my mother's eyes. I also noticed that with just the time I've been training I managed to increase my intelligence by 2. Then I looked at my bloodline.

'My father and I were right, I really do need to train...A lot.'

I wonder what brought about the blessing, I can't even check the details due to how unreadable the text is. Afterwards I close out the system window and get ready for the day. I finally get to explore the city! Then after I get to meet my Trainer. The maids of the castle come in to help me get dressed. I'm dressed in similar colors as I've previously described, apparently these are the colors of the royal family. After they are finished Liliana comes in to take me to the car. As I arrived I see my mother with her personal maid, Adeline. She is the head maid and is in charge of training all the new maids that come in. Next to them is 3 of our Royal Knights on horses. They get down and bow to me once they see me.

""We greet the crown Prince!""

I wave my hand to let them up and I nod my head they climb back onto their horses. My mother guides me into the Car while Liliana and Adeline follow right after taking a spot by their respective Royals.

After I enter the car I remember the name of the Kingdoms capital. It is called Auroria.

As I am remembering the history we take off and I look out to the right of me while staring in awe. I wasn't able to get a quick look on the way to the church but now that I'm looking I stared in wonder at how everything looks. The city scape looks like a blend of a medieval era mixed with what some have coined as Futuristic. Is that even a word? I also noticed that shops and the Adventures Guild have kept a look that symbolizes Tradition. They look like old medieval buildings of various sizes and colors depending on what they provide as services. My mother has us stop right before a Magic Book shop.

As we step up I see the name of the building and see its call Elda's Curios. My mother calls out for the shopkeep.

"Elda! Where are you you old bag of bones!?"

From what seems to be a couple rooms away from the lobby I hear sounds of items crashing and breaking as one starts to grumble angrily.

"Mom, who did you upset that badly??"

"She was the one who taught me as a child on magic."

'She must be ancient then.'

"I heard that you brat!"

'SHE HEARD ME!? Or was it my mother?'

Then I saw a woman with a youthful appearance and a demeanor that signifies wisdom. She has the looks of a girl who is barely becoming a woman. As I look too her eyes I see that despite her appearance she has knowledge beyond her years. She then looks at me and with righteous fury stabs her finger onto my chest.

"I'm talking about you child! I'm not ancient and yes I can read minds as open as yours!"

My mother can't help but laugh as it plays out.

"Elda, you can't lie to my son. You've looked the same since I was a child."

She began to glare at my mother and then I noticed her pointy ears coming through her crimson locks.

"Is it because you are an Elf??"

She stares at me and then smiles with a proud look on her face.

"That's right, even though humans may view me as an old hag I am still barely an adult according to Elven customs. I am barely 1,900 years old after all."

She acts like that's not a huge number.

"Remember Kayde, the way time passes for us and them is different. It is like that for all humans till they evolve."

"When do they evolve?"

"When they reach the peak of tier 5 they will be given a trial by the Gods. If they pass then they will evolve. Even those that are on deaths door will revert to their youth and change to whatever race their bloodline belongs to. Some take decades to reach the peak of tier 5, others can reach it in less than 20 years if they push themselves hard enough with enough talent."

'So that's how it works and that was a lot to take in.'

After that little speech my mother and Elda converse with one another as I roam around scouring the shelves to see what could help me understand nature magic.

"Kayde can you come here please?"

I walk to my mother after finding nothing that can help. She is smiling while Elda looks a bit upset.

"What is it mother?"

"While you are training with me and your Paladin instructor, you will learn from her a few times a week on how to utilize your nature magic."

Elda looks at my mother and speaks.

"You do realize that the only reason he has nature as an element which should be exclusive to elves is to to the purity of his bloodline right? Besides elves dragons are the closest to nature itself. They are uncontrollable, their emotions sway with the winds, and just like nature they take what they want."

'That doesn't sound like the dragons in the eastern country at all.'

She then glares at me.

"All dragons are like that, some just control themselves better."

I can't help but feel that's she has some form of dislike towards dragons and by extension me.

"Kayde, she doesn't hate or dislike dragons. She just doesn't agree with what's in their nature."

I nod my head and then Elda looks at me after thinking about something.

"Alright I'll teach you, just don't make me regret this Mysthia."

My mom smiles widely as if she won some sort of lottery. As she says her goodbyes to Elda we leave and begin to explore more.

We visit stalls that sell candies, jewelry, and some foods that seem disgusting yet tantalizing to my nose. By what seems to be the evening with the sunset on the horizon we make our way home after we finished.

As we arrive I see my father talking to what seems to be an old man. I make my way towards them and my father smiles as I run to hug him.

"There you are, your Instructor has arrived. Say hello to our old general Sir Atkinson."

As I get a better look at him I see no wrinkles despite the gray hair. He has a strong jawline and a he has a scar running from above his right eye to the bottom of his cheek.

"Are you about to breakthrough above the 5th tier?"

He smiles in amazement to my question.

"Why yes Crown Prince, that's why I still have a youthfull look despite my actual age. I'm just a step away, but that one step is always the hardest. I look forward to training you for the next few years."

He pats my shoulder as my father has a servant bring him to his new quarters. As he leaves my father welcome mother with a hug and a kiss. They laugh as I make a disgusted look. After that we go eat dinner and then I head to bathe. After my bath I head to bed. After I close my eyes I wake up in the clouds and off into the distance I see a veiled woman and her smile.
