Chapter 24: Lauren Makes Sense

Rhiannon's POV

Fists pounded on the door. Rhiannon jumped at the sound.

"Get up, a**hole," Lauren yelled through the door.

Rhiannon rolled her eyes dramatically but stomped to the door. She flung it open.

"What do you want?" Rhiannon demanded.

"You've got to quit moping. Get ready, get dressed, we're going out." Lauren jammed her finger towards Rhiannon's bedroom.

Rhiannon sighed deeply.

"Fine," she conceded, dragging herself to the bedroom.

Lauren followed on her heels.

"Are you ever gonna tell me what happened?" Lauren demanded.

"Does it matter? It doesn't change the fact he left," Rhiannon grumbled.

"It does matter. If you keep this stuff bottled up all the time, you're going to explode."

"Ugh, I think you're just nosy," Rhiannon chided.

"Spit it out," Lauren warned.

"I don't think he ever cared," Rhiannon snapped. "I just don't think I meant anything to him. He threw money at me, and he left. He never looked back."
