Dom & Lily Part 1

"Move! Move from the way!! Aaaaaaaaaaaaaa~~~~~~~~~!!!!"

"Dom!! Dom!!! Help me. I have lost controls on the wheels. It's going down on its own! DOMINIQUE!!!"

She shouts as she rolled down on the narrow road of a small beachside town in the Philippines, her black curly hair flying in the wind, her white straw hat barely holding in the place thanks to the tiny lace knotted around her neckline, her white lacey dress top flowing. As she comes down she shouts and asked her best friend Dom to help who was chatting with other boys about their football match.

Her pink bicycle was screeching for help, and the bells on her blue jeans belt chiming, to their heart's content. That was a weird combo of sounds. Sounds of dawning havoc. And let's not forget how funny. A girl, screaming, bike tires screeching and bells chiming. All together.

"Lily!!" Dom shouts and chases after her. "What the hell are you waiting for? Help her stop!" he shouts at the boys and runs for her. Dom is, basically, the area's most popular boy and also sort of the leader.

Well, he does deserve the title. He is rich, plays well, has a good command over the area, and is good looking. With his platinum Ombrè long hair and faded sides, sharp details on the nose, rosy lips, and chiseled jaw he is in one word FANTASTIC! His eyes are so cool. Confidence flickers from the brown gaze. They shout out loud "FUN" and have very deep warmth. It welcomes everyone into his world.

The boy knows how to be noticed by people. He commands attention and is never shy of it. He speaks his mind and is mindful of others. He is boastful. He has the status to be so. Dom is the teenager who knows he is privileged to have what he wants and the mixture of the mature person who knows he has to work hard to protect what he has.

He is the youngest of the three. His father owns a chain of resorts and hotels in Bohol and other places in the Philippines. The boy has a heart full of courage and has a pocket that never runs out so he is inarguably the boss. And the girl on the bike, Lily, is the girl-boss of the area.

With one word from Dom, others chased after her. It was no big deal with so many boys trying to halt the wild ride. Lily was stopped unharmed and the day was saved thanks to the Dom.

Dom got her off the bike by carrying her as soon as it has stopped. He took her away and made her sit down on a tree root that was cut off and left behind. "Lil, are you okay? Have you got hurt? Lemme see. I will take you to the hospital." He was panicked as he kept searching for scratches, cut, or any bruise on Lily's body.

"Relax Dom!" she assures him. "I'm fine. Nothing happened. Thanks, boys! You save me once again. It is really okay Dom. It is not the first time I got into trouble. No need of going to the hospitals. I'm just fine."

"Are you sure? Lil, try to stand up. Come" Dom picks up Lily and lets her stand on her feet. He examines closely as she turns around. "See. I'm fine." She reassures him. "Thanks a lot, boys, you guys again saved me. I'm sorry for the trouble again."

"It is fine Lil. You are the reason we have something to laugh at in this quiet town. We like it when you make a ruckus. It is like an opportunity. And comedy sketch", says a boy.

"Hey, enough man," Dom interrupts his buddy. "Accidents can happen"

"With a clumsy one, it happens regularly. Like our Lily" another boy adds and everyone broke into laughter. Dom was about to protest but Lily agreed by laughing out loud the most.

"Let's go and have something to eat. All this riding and shouting has made Lily hungry. Let's go to Nana's", Lily pulls Dom by hand and collects her bike. Dom takes the bike from her and sat on the driver seat. He indicates Lily to sit behind him. Once she does. He pulls her hand and places them on his chest. "Hold tight, little Lily."

Little Lily is the name only Dom uses to address Lily. She is a bit on the smaller side, 4" 9'. With her tiny hands and feet, she looks like a doll in front of Dom. dom's doll. Hence, when they were younger Dom named her little Lily and said he will be the big brother and will always protect her after she was chased by a small Pomeranian dog in his garden. Dom chased the dog away at that time.

They start off as Dom paddles his way to their all-time favorite snack shop. Lily closely holds Dom. Tight. She is smiling and playing with the wind, Dom is smiling too with Lily sitting behind him playing and smiling. On the way, they come across a local flower shop. Dom gets down and gets some white lilies for her. "Wow!" Lily screams. Dom places them in the basket in front.

Though the place is usually a snack bar for Lily and Dom, it is their meal place three times a day. Most of the time they get their meals from here so the restaurant owner prepares a proper meal for them separately. The owner is both Lil's and Dom's old nanny. When Lily came to the Philippines as young Nana use to look after Dom. Later she also took over Lily. Their parents work. They were partners in the business and were neighbors too. Lily and Dom are about the same age. Lily just a year younger from Dom. So when the parents are out Nana took care of these two which is most of their childhood.

When they were 15 Nana left and opened her snack shop. Dom invested in her with his savings. The idea of snack bar was his too. Lily chipped in with her savings. Even after opening the snack bar nana still looks after them.

This is the place where they spent most of their time after school. They do their homework, study, fight and even sometimes fall asleep. Later the parents come and collect their children respectively. They are a big happy family with no blood ties but only a loving heart. Things are at full heart content.

The parents are very generous. They fund Nana's children's education and even her grandchildren. Now they live and study abroad but Nana stayed behind. These different people from very different origins take care of each other.

Lily and Dom have spent their lives here together. They go to the same school in different classes. They both aspire to be an artist and attend the same art school. They dream of studying in Paris together too.

Before school, they wanna go for a world trip. Then after school, they will again set out to rotate the world. Their first stop will be Paris and the last stop too. Then when they are old they will settle in Paris and open up their joined studio.

They will spend the rest of their lives there. None of them is interested in their parent's business. The parents agree and know that they are not that shrewd or crafty to play nasty business games. They know their children are naïve and fresh with a real kind heart. As for Dom, he has his capable older siblings to take care of the business. And Lily's parents are all set to hand over the company to a good management team making Lily the major shareholder. Their future is set so is their course of life. At least, that is what they believe it to be.

Dom and Lily dream together and breathe together. They are really good friends who share everything. Whenever Lily is in trouble Dom appears to help her. Lily always takes care of forgetful Dom's things and saves him from every scolding from his dad and teachers. Dom is a bit naughty too. But everybody loves Lily so they always spare Dom. Lily punishes Dom and Dom follows her in everything.

So far they had this picture-perfect life.
