Ch 2: Body disposal

As I was approaching the shrine, I kept wandering what I got myself into and If I should rely on Garu. Or if I should just bail and leave my town, and head over to woods maybe the goblins will take me in. I also heard that slimes can taste quite good when raised properly, which I could sell to people in the other towns if I am short on cash.

I decided to go into the shrine, and put down the basin where it once was for a long time. Then I started to wait for him to show up, but he did not appear so I searched the shrine. Everting was the same except for the bucket that Garu came out of, which sat empty. So maybe I just needed to put some water in the basin for him to reaper.

I went outside to the river which reeked of sewage, and scooped up a bucket full. The stench was unbearable so I decided to clean, and filter the water. Remembering about my new skills I checked my card, and in the skills tab I could see purification. Which is normally an ability only used by the saints, but I guess it is a form of cleaning.

After using purification the water turned clear, but I could still see some debris left over, some of it looked like bone fragments, but its probably just my imagination. After poring the water Garu appeared looking quite happy,

Now that I helped you bring back your basin, were basically friends now right. So being the best friend's that we are, why don't you help me out with something.

Preposterous, you are far to weak and naïve I would rather be chained at the bottom of the ocean than to be your friend. However you could become my minion if you insist that you need my help, because I have already granted your wish what else could you possibly need.

So when I was trying out my new skills, I accidently killed someone and now I am wondering what to do next.

What are you an assassin, besides you now have the power to clean any stain. Surely you were not dumb enough to leave the body unattended right. Even if you did there would be no mess so the chances of them finding out it was you would be low.

Wow your right, I should just dispose of the body but where exactly. I could just through it in the river, but the problem is how to transport it without anyone finding out. I could pretend that I am throwing out the garbage, so shoving the body in a bag is a good idea.

I can help you make the body disappear all you need to do is transport it here, and if you enter a contract with me I can help you with with many more things. I can even make you richer and so powerful no one can touch you.

If I don't lose my job you have a deal, I will come back with the body in a few days. After we both agreed I left to my house, and thought of a plan. The next day was my day off, which would make it suspicions if I came in to work. So I decided to go and ask around maybe I can get a few clues on where the body is.

I went to the market, and went to each monster shop maybe they would no more about the hunter. As I was near a goblin shop I could hear to people talking about the dead hunter. They were discussing about how the body was found clean, as if someone was covering up how he died. So the officials called it foul play, and called of the investigation. So a group of villager's decided to investigate themselves and are keeping a watch on the body.

I should probably strike at night since they probably wont let me in to clean the room the body is in. Now that I know were to strike all I need now is to prepare. I went and bought a goblin mask, and some sleeping gas, which is normally used on groups of goblins but should work on humans. After that I went back home, and got everting ready as It was reaching night time.

Once it was time I headed to the association, and began sneaking my way into the building and stopped once I saw two villagers keeping guard in the entrance of the room. I waited to see if they were was someone inside the room, but nothing really happened for an hour so I began my plan.

First I threw some rocks so that they can group up, when they went to check the commotion I threw the sleeping gas, and waited for them to fall asleep. I tied them up, and headed inside the room after checking I was in the clear. I opened up the trash bag, and stuffed the body inside even tough the bag was tiny compared to the body.

I loaded it into a cart, and headed for the exit. It was pitch black outside so the chances of anyone seeing me was low as I headed towards the shrine. By the time I was near the shrine I could se that morning was about arrive so I hid the body next to the shrine, and headed back.

Once I arrived to work I went to my station to begin my routine when the boss announced for all employees to group up based on there departments and search for the body as it was missing. Since I was the only custodian I was ordered to clean the building which was fine by me. After finishing up I went to the shrine to dispose of the body before anyone finds it.

Looking around I did not see anyone so I went to bush were I left the body, but only found the cart. Panicking I went inside the shrine, and saw the body in the corner of the shrine but most of it was missing.
