Chapter 4: Face-off: Angel’s Fury!

Angel narrowed his eyes in confusion. " Angelique? What about her?"

The P.E. Teacher took a calm tone and told Angel the following words: " I was just wondering if Angelique had friends she could talk to and have fun with, maybe, she wouldn't feel so lonely inside".

The professor expressed himself in front of his student. Angel seemed to understand the significance behind his words. " What are you trying to tell me?" He asked.

" What I'm trying to tell you is very simple! If she had friends, she would open up a little. Do you now understand what I'm trying to tell you?" He asked his student interrogatively.

Angel glared at his professor with an assertive gaze. He could see how concerned he was about Angelique and that only made him incredibly happy to discover that they were still people good enough who cared about her wellbeing.

" Yeah! Now, I understand! You're a genius, teach! Thank you very much for your advice". Angel was slightly grinning.

He departed from there, leaving the professor alone by himself.

" You're welcome! Glad I could help!" He murmured.

After getting changed, Angel departed from there running at full speed. He was searching for someone but he wasn't able to find the person he was looking for. When he thought of giving up, he spotted them in the school hallway and ran to them.

Melody and Julie were walking when they felt a flash of winding passing through them. A voice interpellated them from behind. " Melody Springfield! Julie Momonari!"

They both turned around and saw Angel in an exhausted state. " What is it, Mukaido? You seem exhausted! Do you have something to discuss with us? If so, what is it?"

He regained his composure before he proceeded to talk to the two girls. " I was wondering if you two could be Angelique's friends. You see, she never talks to anyone besides herself. She's also in her own little world. She can't differentiate dreams from reality. I can't even say what she's thinking when she's alone like that. I don't even know if she ever had friends before".

Julie and Melody listened attentively to him.

" People criticize her but deep down, she has a good heart. Deep down, she's very nice and amazing to be with. I want her to enjoy her life to the fullest of her possibilities. So, please, Melody Springfield and Julie Momonari, become her friends! Please, help her discover her true self! I beg of you! Please! Please, accept!" Angel's eyes were full of determination and courage.

Melody and Julie stared at Angel thoroughly and suddenly, they grinned.

" I'll be glad to be Angelique Tsukishima's friend. How about you, Julie?" She looked over to her friend beside her.

" It will be a pleasure to be friends with her. I see when people make fun of her, but she never seems to be angry at them. On the contrary, she ignores them completely. Even Oscar Venus can't do anything about it. When she truly gets angry, she's like a tiger, and nothing can faze her. She turned her enemies to ashes. She's very tough and also extremely cruel. She's terrifying and has a double personality. One that's always calm and the other that is the complete opposite of the first one. I like that about her. She's honest, kind, smart, and brave. She's able to face any kind of challenge. It would be an honor to have such an amazing friend like her. You can count on me!" Melody said all fired up.

Angel was content and grateful to the two girls for accepting his request. He knew deep down he had made the right decision. " Thank you! Both of you, I'll be counting on you two from now on".

" You can count on us. Leave the rest in our capable hands!" The two girls said in unison.

" Thanks a lot! I'll be going now. Take care!" He walked in the opposite direction.

Angel headed towards his last class of the day. The bell rang to remind him just how late he was. He managed to arrive a minute before the final bell.

The teacher arrived at the same time as him. He immediately goes to his seat.

The students stand and bow to the teacher. " Hello, teacher!"

She responded: " Hello, everyone! How are you?"

" We're fine, thank you! And you?" They asked.

" Fine, thanks! You may all sit now!" The students sat back down at their respective seats.

The professor introduced herself to her students: " Bonjour tout le monde. Je m'appelle Marie Françoise Gomez. Je suis de France et à partir d'aujourd'hui, je serai votre professeur de Français. Enchanté de faire votre connaissance!"

The majority of the students didn't understand a word she had just pronounced. They all stared at each other in confusion.

" Who in this class can tell me what I have just said?" She asked them in an interrogative tone.

Angel Mukaido raised his hand to answer the question. The French professor picked them and then asked: " What's your name?"

He introduced himself: " My name is Angel Mukaido! Nice to meet you!"

She grinned: " Angel Mukaido! That's a nice name you have there. Go ahead!"

" Thank you!" He took a deep breath. " Hello, everyone! My name is Marie Francoise Gomez. I'm French and starting today, I'll be your French teacher. Nice to meet you!"

" Well done!" The entirety of the students applauded him. They were impressed by his great interpretation. " You're amazing, Angel Mukaido! Are you French?" She asked.

" No, not at all! I'm Japanese!" He responded.

" Japanese? How come you can speak so well in French?" She was shocked by his answer. She couldn't believe how one could be so fluent.

" That's because I visited France when I was little with my family". He said.

" Is that so?" She understood where his knowledge was coming from.

The bell rang a minute after. " We'll end here, everyone. See you next time!" The students exit the classroom.

Angel Mukaido was heading to the school's infirmary to pick up Angelique when he saw Oscar Venus coming toward him.

Oscar Venus! What's he doing here? Angel subconsciously wondered.

He passed him and was heading towards the infirmary. Realizing that, Angel Mukaido interpellated him. " Wait up, Oscar1 Where do you think you're going?"

He stopped! " Look at that! What a surprise? I wasn't expecting Angelique Tsukishima's dog here. Looks like she got you. You got brainwashed. That Tsukishima is a hypocrite. She doesn't care for anybody besides herself. She's mean, ugly, and very stupid. Why have you saved a girl like that?"

Angel was bowling inside. He wanted to give Oscar a piece of his mind but because they were in the hallways and also because he didn't want to cause a commotion, he kept it in.

Oscar continued his sarcasm: " I know! You wanted to be a hero, am I right?"

…

" If I am, let me tell you that you've wasted your time. You shouldn't have saved her. She doesn't deserve your concern. As for me, I especially came to pay her a little visit. I have to see what she looks like in a hospital bed. That will be hilarious! I've heard that she's pretty weak. That was to be expected. I'm not even surprised one bit. She solely got what she deserves. I won't take pity on her. She's a weakling!" Oscar laughed his heart out.

Angel couldn't stand it any longer as he had reached his limit. He was furious. His blood was boiling from inside. In an instant of profound anger, he did something Oscar wasn't expecting to happen.

He slapped him hard and his hysterical laugh stopped at the same time. Oscar touched his red cheek, still not believing what had just happened.

" What the heck? What did you do that for?" He asked angrily.

Angel's rage and anger didn't drop down even after the tight slap he had offered to Oscar.

" Shut up! Don't say a word! Don't you dare utter another word! How dare you? How dare you insult her? How dare you insult Angelique like that? What gives you the right to do such a thing?" His gaze was dark.

" She's mean you say, ugly, and hypocrite! Don't make me laugh! You're the ugliest one here, don't you think? You're nothing compared to her. You're not even half of what she truly is. She's smart and has an acute sense of justice. That's the big difference between you and her. Even if you criticize her, she will always stay true to her values. She's very brave in that aspect. I may not know her very well, but I can say by looking at her that she has a very pure heart. So, I will ask you to stop making fun of her. That's for your own good, Oscar! I will ask you to leave immediately. I won't allow you to see Angelique, so please, leave at once!"

" And one more thing! Next time, before you open your big mouth to utter nonsense, turn your tongue seven times before talking! Now, you may go! Have a good day!" He said with a cold stare.

" Wait up a minute! Who do you think you are talking to me like that? Why are you defending her? Are you her guardian, or maybe her bodyguard?" He asked interrogatively.

Angel rolled his eyes. " No! None of that! If you must know, I'm taking her side because she's my friend. I will protect her from harm. I will always be there for her. Does my answer satisfy you? If so, then, please go! I've wasted enough time speaking to you. Angelique must be waiting for me. I'll go now! Have a good day!

Don't think you won? You'll pay for what you did one way or the other. You humiliated me. I'll have my revenge soon enough. You should watch your back and watch over her as well. You don't know what can happen when you're not careful enough! He smirked.
