Chapter 58 The Cavern

With a thought I summoned my armor and weapons. Then I proceeded to head down those stairs. I was not going to wait for back up. I could feel Sebastian fading from my awareness. Little did I know if he was dying or travelling further away from me, but I knew I needed him. I would figure out a way to either save him on my own or stall until back up came.

This stairway seemed to travel forever. The only thing I was happy about was that it was stone or concrete steps so nothing could come from underneath and grab me like I had read in horror books of old. I traveled for a few mins and still there was no end in sight. 3 maybe 4 flights down I have already travelled, and I still can not see the bottom yet. It took me about an additional 5 mins until I could see the bottom of the stairs. I was now 13 full flights of stairs down into the ground. This area had to be a cave or something like that. The entire area was still burning from me clearing the webs.
