Clyde watched as Evelyn made her way down the ladder and let out a sigh. He knew now that she must have read his thoughts and he shuddered a bit at the revelation. He did not want her to think about the mate bond yet. She still had some months to go before she would be able to feel it for herself. He just wanted to protect her for as long as he could, then he would let her know. He sighed and made his way to the stables where George was preparing their horses. "Is everything ready?" He asked as he saw George securing the last of the saddle bags.
"It is. I have moved the larger items into the storage bag as you requested," George replied.
"Very good," Clyde said and he patted the neck of his large black horse. "Easy there," he cooed and the horse snorted in response. "How was your night?" He asked.
"Don't mention anything about it," George snapped.
"Was it not to your liking?" Clyde chuckled.
