Max and Stephen stealthy exited the estate and entered the back forest. They both shed their robes and Stephen was the first to take form, his bear, Bors, was already brimming at the surface, excited to finally see their mate in the flesh. Max gasped as he took in the sight of such a large bear. He bent down to run his hands threw his fur and smiled at the softness of it all. His wolf howled in his mind and he shifted. Max's wolf, Percy, came forward. His fur was a soft brown color with white patches on his chest and paws. He was much smaller than Stephen's large bear, but he was still big for a wolf. Percy howled into the still night and Bors circled around him.
Percy took off running, dashing through the trees in the forest and Bors was close behind him. "I am going to get you, little wolf," Bors spoke through their new connection of their marks.
Percy yipped at the provocation and took off faster. "Not if you cannot catch me," Percy joked.
