"Did you find her?" Azriel asked Lyonne the moment he stepped into the study.

"We managed to catch her just before she got a chance to escape. She's currently locked up in one of the empty chain rooms."

"Lead the way."

Azriel followed Lyonne who was leading him to where the girl who had served them the poisoned food was being held captive.

They walked into a room to find a girl sitting in the corner with her legs chained up so she couldn't try to run away again. "Is she the one?" Lyonne asked.

"She is."

Just as Azriel was about to step forward, a hand blocked his way. "I'll interrogate her myself? We both know you'll end up killing her if you go."

Taking a step back, Azriel quietly agreed. There was no way he would be patient enough to let the girl who nearly killed his mate answer their question in her own time. He would have resorted to violence to pry out the answer from her.
